I love these discussions, remember, when Quigg looked like absolute **** agains Jamie Arthur and was dropped early, apparently he wouldn't last 5 rounds with Frampton, once Frampton showed a weakness, it was all Quigg its a very even matchup
Frampton for me. Framptons next 5 fights should be mapped out something like. April/May - Willie Casey Sept/Oct - Scott Quigg Dec/Jan 2014 - Alexander Bakhtin April/May 2014 - Jeffrey Methubula Sept 2014 - Vic darchinyan
I think it is close from what I've seen, but I'd have to go with Frampton. He looks to have the edge in several areas and the only advantage I'd give Quigg is inside work. But Frampton showed he can deal with pressure and aggression from a pretty hard hitting Martinez and box off the back foot or coming forward. His chin looks solid and more so than Quigg's and he has shown real one shot power too. It's not one I'd put money on though, as Quigg closes the gap pretty well and if he turned it into an inside fight, then you'd have to give him the advantage.
a year on and it still aint happening I hope there aint gonna be discussions on this next time next year
Lots of nonsense in the early pages. the Irish/Non Brit talk especially, Frampton is Northern Irish and as British as Quigg. Frampton has went on to show Barry Mcguigan's fawning was justified he is a genuinely world class Boxer.
Well folks the two DID eventually meet...and we all saw how it went. Now Frampton is headlining in Las Vegas while Quigg is unknown outside his own parish.
