From an absolute nobody to pulling a major upset followed by another upset of one of boxings all time greats in his swansong fight. Usyk is another good shot, but nothing he's done has come as a surprise. This kid came out of nowhere. Look very much forward to seeing more big fights with this guy...

There's a plethora of matchups I'd love to see this guy in... He's certainly not elite, but I think we're going to be treated to some good fights win or lose.

He should actually be the Fighter Of The Year, and should be in the running for KO of the year, twice

Lomachenko is my FOTY. Most will say Ward which I can understand, but can't agree with solely because his great year defining win was extremely controversial. Either... Lomachenko/Ward - Followed by Usyk/Gassiev, Crawford and then Smith.

Joe "The Common Man" Smith Jr. just might be the type of guy that people imagine from the Rocky movies.
Construction worker, blue collar, everyday, beer in a can guy.
Power puncher, not afraid to mix it up.
And the biggest factor if he takes advantage, A WHITE AMERICAN!!
He could really spin that if he is smart. You have all these Eastern Europeans getting their symbolic knob slobbed by guys like Forza and more than a few other guys on this board, why not bring it home and celebrate American Nationalism with Joe Smith Jr.?

No he's quite a bit better in every way than Seanie, most importantly in the power department.

That is a fight that should be added to triple G Jacobs the day after Paddy's day in NY. Make it happen!

I have no issues whatsoever with a Smith/Stevenson fight. Given Smiths great year, and what's going on in the division it's a decent fight. Can Smith spring yet another upset? I'm not so sure... Common sense tells that he would be a sitting duck for the straight left, but Stevenson is far from unbeatable.

ya id agree just don't see him being able to mix it at the highest level but not as terrible as seanie

also seanies last performance was terrible, he says he was sparring beterbiev in the run up to the fight and iv came up with an interesting idea

does just sparring beterbiev make you shot? seanie has looked terrible since sparring him, pascal got a lot worse after sparring him and who the hell hires beterbiev as a sparring partner in the first place?

He might be, but I be damned if he is not learning on the job very well. I hope Stevenson gives him his shot for the WBC title. Haymon or Top Rank better grab this guy up and make him exclusive. I have a feeling that people are sleeping on the guy.
