it reminds me of the episode of only fools and horses where uncle albert when times were tough used to fall down holes and claim compensation.

except with hopkins when times get tough he jumps out of the ring and claims no contest

 

2nd funniest ring out next to Kermit "the leap frog" Cintron's Oscar winning performance in the Williams fight.

 

He fell out of the ring on purpose. Typical underhand tactics, right to the end. Good riddance.

 

all that was missing was a hopkins faking some low blows and this fight would have been an all time hopkins classic

 

I didn't see his ankle get injured at any stage of the fall unless he twisted it getting helped to his feet. He went head first witg his feet both dangling in thr air ffs.

Bernard, as good as a fighter he is, he's always look for the easy way out if things get tough.

He fell out the ring more times in his career then Hasim Rahman, wow thats sayin something.

 

You guy diss Hopkins but he was knocked out of the ring & landed on his head. One factor was how loose the ropes were. They are supposed to stop that happening. Its a shame it happened & had to end this way but you cannot take anything away from Joe Smith jr he came to win & win he did.
Takes nothing away from Bernard Hopkins legacy rather he just stayed one fight too long. An ATG & shoo in HOF er Thanks for everything Nard Enjoy your retirement
