What why?

 

Muldoon was a master of physical culture. His vigorous rubdowns were legendary.

 

That place had to be intimidating

 

The physique of an early 1900s fighter looks quite laughable compared to fighters from post world war 2 eras.

 

I believe it was always kept above 100 degrees, summer or winter.

 

I'd be scared to spar with anyone in that gym.
