So why are people hyping Jacobs?

Id say they are, wouldn't want a front row seat for this one unless you want the chance of taking jacobs jaw home as a gift

I hadn't even heard of Monroe before he fought GGG

 

Has anyone ever hyped any of his opponents up enough to believe they'll beat GGG?

I think this is a good assessment personally. I'm not a fan of the arbitrary letter grading system but if I were to dabble then i think A/B is fair depending on how you rated Quillin, who ultimately got what should be defined as 'iced'.

I wonder what Danny's game plan is going to be. He IS quite chinny and that GGG jab has busted up more durable dudes than Jacobs. I'm looking forward to it.

 

Aside from Canelo this is the best opponent he could fight.

 

I think he's kinda underhyped now the fight is finally signed.
There have been many threads here about that fight when Jacobs called out Golovkin when he had just signed a fight, some ridiculing Jacobs for that bullshirt move, but others claiming Golovkin was afraid because Jacobs would KO him (trolls but still).

Now the fight is here, and US hopeful Jacobs is reduced to 'just another bum'

 

I've always felt Jacobs and Saunders are his top two match ups. Maybe Eubank too. But I'd favor him over all three.

 

Jacobs is a bigger underdog against GGG than Kell Brook was.

That tells you all you need to know.

Jacobs is on the same level as Macklin,Murray,brook, lemuiex and a few others. Except style wise he is ten times easier due to he's glass chin

The fans who wrote off all these other fighters as bums are suddenly saying jacobs is a real challenge ,its nonsense.

I'd rate bjs if he trained ahead of jacobs. I think deverychenko would KO jacobs right now, and Quigley is a big up and coming prospect and eubank would beat jacobs.

 

Tells us the UK fanbase is rabid and American fans bow down to media/network pressure.

 

Or it could tell us that brook would knock Jacobs spark out
