    Since most of people who are on the Classic section love to bring up how 170 pound fighters from back in the day could because guys like Lewis because of "skill". Roy Jones Jr was more skilled than Tyson so base on that logic Roy would win. Also based off these peoples logic since Tyson lost to Douglas by KO and Roy Jones Jr is better pound for pound than Buster he could knock Tyson out earlier.

    Both skill and size are factors.
    But Mike Tyson would win more because of his skills than his size.

    Tyson was a successful fighter because of his skill, not because of his size.

    it has nothing to do with size, ruiz was bigger than tyson and lost against jones, tyson destroys jones because has stylistical advantage.

    I'm not going with size in this one.

    Yeah Jones was taller and had longer reach but how is he gonna keep the smaller man on the outside?

    Tyson is too skilled at slipping the jab and making someone pay up close. I don't think Jones is strong enough to hold him in a clinch neither.

    I pick the smaller man, Tyson, by ko.

    Nope because Roy Jones Jr is more skilled so he would win. It doesn't matter than Mike Tyson was a actually heavyweight and would knock Roy Jones Jr head off. Weight classes mean nothing on this forum. A 112 pound guy could beat a 250 pound guy because of skill.

    Tyson is shorter so that makes him the smaller man? I never knew there were height classes in boxing. I guess on stupid boxing forums you learn something new everyday.

    Well Jones could put on 40 pounds of weight and get to the same weight as Tyson if he really wanted but it still wouldn't help him here.

    His height and reach wouldn't be enough to keep Tyson away. Tyson feasted on those who fought on the back foot and he'd knock Jones Jr out.

    Whether Jones weighs 180 or 220 it won't be enough for him.

    Yet you said Gerry Cooney wasn't a true super heavyweight because he didn't weigh that much for his height. Maybe we ought to set up a special section for you, special needs that is.....

    Tyson - early. He'd walk through the much smaller Jones. Unlike, Ruiz, Tyson had the speed to get to Jones.

    Is your argument that skill cannot overcome size? How would you explain Jones Jr beating Ruiz?
    Also, what is your take on David Haye winning over Valuev after giving 100 pounds on him?
