Before the stoppage Kell was outboxing his opponent and smashing him all over the ring before he, somehow, mysteriously started to lose the plot and his trainer threw in the towel despite still standing and trading.

Why would he do this? In hindsight it's obvious, the GGG fight was a payday but it was only one fight. Before that bout he was already the most ducked fighter on the planet; Thurman, Khan, Spence, Garcia, Pacquaio etc were all terrified of the Yorkshireman.

With this loss he has, for some reason, piqued the interest of Amir Khan and Errol Spence to name but two.

Don't get me wrong, both these fighters know they'll almost certainly lose but are now of the opinion that at least they wont be embarrassed, in their more delusiona moments I imagine they'd think they could even sneak a wwin.

Before he took the GGG fight Brook's tqo biggest paydays (Spence and Khan) wanted literally nothing to do with him.

Now both will take the fight, earning Brook tens and tens of millions. His pride wouldn't allow him to throw the fight, indeed he was clearly the superior boxer before his 'injury' but this canny move has got the cowards to come out of their shell.

Kell is laughing all the way to the bank.

This is the straw man argument to beat all straw men arguments.... congrats on that.

Dictionaries in future might simply rename 'straw man argument' as a 'Kahuna'...

Brook took the easy way out. He quit. I am sure him and his corner had agreed before hand to stop the fight if the going got tough, and as soon as the going got tough in one round, it was over. No KDs, No blood, just a POSSIBLE orbital bone fracture and not much else but the fear of the reality that Brook was too small too weak to beat Golovkin at 160.

Excellent theory. I'm betting that Kell smacked himself in the face before the fight with brick to make sure his orbital bone cracked during the fight! FOH

Kell threw it as much as Hatton threw the Pacquaio fight.

Brook and his team took the high risk investment, cash out before it went too deep of a loss.

Zab must've threw the Tszyu fight, since he was winning a portion of the first round before choosing to get KTFO x2. Great logic, great thread....

No dude, it's just GGG was a bigger Kahuna and was too strong for Brook. Kudos to Brook for taking the fight and having some success though! I enjoyed the fight!
