No doubt Mayweather vs Hatton is the most important fight of the 2000's, legacy wise for any boxer.

The sad thing is if it wasn't for MVC there would be no Floyd threads at all!

 

It was the best build up for a fight I have ever seen. In the UK EVERYONE was talking about it.

 

I'm going to write to Floyd and ask him for a pair of his old gym socks.

I could take MVC for everything he owns!

The Canela's are a ripe target, so fresh, they can be baited with ease by someone with your skill.

I think the first fight against Jose Louis Castillo was more 'epic'

 

It was a very good fight and the atmosphere was second to none. As a few stated, it was not only between two top 10 rated P4P guys, but they were also both the kingpins of their respective divisions when they faced each other.

It really highlighted just how good of an inside fighter Mayweather is. Leading up to that fight, the strategy for FLoyd was supposed to be box from a distance and keep in perpetual motion all night. He decided to stand his ground and fight Hatton in a phone booth style type of match.

Great fight but definitely not the most important of the 2000's. His fight with Pacman was exponentially more important.

One the most boring skilful fighter in mayweather, admirable defensive skill but no killer instinct, a non violent fighter.
