Good post but anyone who isnt biased doesnt need to know all that and i dont think you need to justify if Canelo wins. Imho if they fight in Sept. and Canelo clearly wins the fight by decision or ko anyone trying to detract from the win is going to sound like an idiot.
This. Cracks me up when i read people saying Brook "exposed" "was winning" "hurt" GGG in that fight. Anyone with half a brain could see what happened.
Golovkin's Lemieux PPV sold around 97000, and at least half of those were purchased to see Gonzalez. That means about 99.97% of the populace don't even know who Golovkin is.
GG handled Brook with relative ease but it was clear to see that in that fight he showed the first signs of being on the decline. I'm surprised no one has spoken about it until now. It's all going nicely to plan for Alvarez.
You're tripping if you think twelve rounds of wrestling is sweet science and if wanting to watch someone exciting makes me a casual then sure I'm a casual I'm fine with that
The absolute and utter desperation of a minority trying to talk GGG down and write him off really is comedy gold. Assuming you are actually boxing fans, just be thankful one of the great middleweights has reigned while you have been fortunate enough to be around to see it.
We're basing this solely off of the Brook fight? We don't have enough information at all to make that assessment. It isn't like Golovkin is the oldest man in boxing, not only that but his style of boxing will let him fight at a top level despite not being in his physical prime. Then you have to factor in his training which will let him get more mileage from his body. I think he's going to be okay for 3 more years.
Seems pretty convenient every time GGG looks like **** he's apparently ill. The reality is Brook made GGG look bad, even though he's a WW, skillwise he is levels above the likes of Murray, Lemieux etc.
Some are conveniently forgeting how bad GGG made Brook look. Who couldn't last 5 rounds and ended up with a busted head again?
Golovkin and his team denied being sick, but I heard boxing media like Dan Rafial say that he was ill a day before the fight even happened. Golovkin didn't look like **** in this fight though. I really don't get it. He lost one round. A lot of fighters lose more rounds to worse fighters and no one says anything.
He stopped a much smaller guy via a facial injury, big deal. Brook looked the more skilled of the two in there, if he was a legit MW with the size, power and durability of a MW the outcome would have been very different.
GGG caved Brooks' head in. He didn't last 5 rounds. Brook was simply victim number 36 and KO victim number 33 - another statistic - and GGG continues to be absolutely impregnable at 160 pounds. Next.
