Are there any instances where a fighter has legitimately stopped an opponent with a jab to the head, i have seen a few jab to body stopping fights.

Cotto-Gomez? I don't remember if it was the punch that knocked him down or stopped him

I was always impressed with Larry Holmes. His jab controlled and changed fights.........

ye was a knockdown i think it was more due to sheer exhaustion though Cotto does possess a powerful jab which was landed a few times against Sugar Shane, i may be mistaken but is Cotto a left hander fighting orthodox

Yeah, that was a ferocious jab. It stopped people in their tracks for almost his entire career.

Yeah he is. He was signing autographs with his left hand at one of his press conferences. He does switch during fights though.

Hatton made Mayweather stumble with his jab, probably more off balance than anything though.

In fact, thinking of Barrera, he had an underrated jab, I think it was Richie Wenton who said it was piston like, and hurtful too, makes sense it was a strong one considering he was L Handed.

Klitschko has a hammer of a jab - Pavlik's jab is quite a thudding blow too.

High weights Klitschko, lower weight Cotto.
