Breland was a good call, he was tipped to be the next Ray Leonard when he turned pro and he could certainly box; it wasn't enough and it didn't work out. He still had a decent career, though. Milton McCrory and Marlon Starling were pretty good, too.
Ernesto Marcel had a great skillset and is easily one of the most underappreciated boxers of all time.

Great stuff so far guys. Thanks much. Montell Griffin holds wins over both James Toney and, whatever which way you want to cut it, Roy Jones. Two giants (of the modern age anyway) on the resume of a fighter almost no one talks about now? It's not like he fought 50 years ago.
Some good names here. I Would add Gamboa on the list. He had good potential to be great. Other names popping to my mind: Golota, Bowe
Has anyone mentioned Gabriel Campillo? For a short while there he really should have been seen as one of the very best in the world at his weight class. He had a pretty strange career.
