http://www.skysports.com/boxing/new...-forward-to-his-grudge-fight-with-tony-bellew "His biggest strength is that he can somehow talk his way into a fight like this," Haye told Sky Sports News HQ. He is just summing up his entire HW career that was pretty much how he go the Wlad fight and the called off Vitali scrap
"irony impaired" is actually a great description of Haye. And he always has been. Sometimes I think the guy must be calculating and intelligent to have sold himself so well and made such great sums of money (good luck to him!) ... but then other times it seems he's just another deluded fighter who genuinely believes the tripe he spouts and for some inexplicably reason people have always gone along with it.
It was only 3 years ago that Haye was pulling out of the Tyson Fury fight after accusing Fury of being a "nobody" who "managed to talk his way into a big fight with me!".
The lots of iron is coming from a different source.. the only real blemish on Bellew's record is Stevenson and he would get crushed at heavyweight.. in a rematch..
Haye is a smart guy, certainly smarter than average. However, he completely lacks any real humility or ability to self reflect and self judge. Taking ownership for yourself- you need to have that self reflection and self judgment. Blaming a loss on your little toe is not what real men do.
I agree that the Stevenson loss on his record is the only blemish on it. In my opionion he won both cleverly fights but I don't think the end result would be different at cw/hw I don't think bellew would get knocked out but he would loose a points decision. Stevenson was making him miss far to often. He made him look stupid at times. Bellew didn't no how to handle him because his punches was having no effect on him.
It wasn't that long ago that David was reckoning to be "the first black James Bond" and said that he was eyeing a massive Hollywood contract. Query what happened to all of that!
