Aaww I wouldn't go that far, but it'll be a helluva a fight, I think Vargas will bust him up in the early rounds. Vargas can box and fight, but I don't know if he can avoid the onslaught in the latter rounds.

    Pre-Hop or Post-Hop?

Pre-Hop and he gives GG a helluva a fight, a 50/50 shootout. Post-Hop, Tito gets stopped...

I think 3G will prove to be a greater MW then Tito was (Pretty clear on that), but he'll have to catch up to surpass Tito on the list IMO.

I was thinking anywhere in his 160 days. Joppy fight... B-Hop fight... Mayorga... take your pick. I didn't think there was any difference of those three.

He had natural ability to slip shots. He had excellent head movement in the second round on against Tito and at 1 time stood right in front of Tito and made him miss 9 consecutive shots back to back.. Vargas was a bad dude in his prime.

Wins over Canelo and a few other top guys would do it I think.

Sure GGG hasn't faced any great fighters, but you can't underestimate this guy. His amateur record is ridiculous, meaning even without his power, the guy knows how to outbox people, score points and win rounds. I give it to Tito, probably by maybe mid to late round stoppage, but we really don't know how good GGG really is yet either. Tito didn't have a great chin either so GGG could put him out.

Sorry Todd I disagree, GGG needs to conquer supermiddleweight and at least win a portion of lightheavyweight to be on par with Tito.

I remember that fight, and the way vargas would lean back just making tito miss his lethal hooks was incredible. Mind you he tasted enough of them flush before that lol but Vargas was VERY good. The problem was he went into that fight having zero respect for tito's power and paid for it early. Had he gone in and boxed smart, he may have won that fight. But the fact he came back from that first round beating and actually put tito down and had him in serious trouble, before tito bagged him and possibly saved himself with that dirty tactic, but it was amazing resilience from the young vargas. But gotta give it to tito, Vargas puts him down, hurts him, momemtum going vargas' way and tito balls him and completely shifts the momentum back on his side. Had Vargas not got low blowed, I think he had a good chance to finish tito.

It would take a lot more IMO. Wins over Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs, maybe a couple up and coming JrMW's once they get established at 160, and perhaps a big SprMW win.

Well Jacobs would be before the Canelo win. Lol! Then a few more after that. And by a few wins over top guys I mean 4-5

As far as Super Middle... It definitely would close the case but I don't think it's necessary. Especially if he gets the all time title defense record at that weight along with those wins over top guys. Just my opinion

Slick boxer with movement gave Tito problems. Triple G walks right at you with no head movement .It would have been target practice for Tito.

Just imo... great great fight but Trinidad doesn't see the final bell with Golovkin. Gets dropped repeatedly and stopped in 10, while maybe giving G a few scary moments. But ultimately a bad matchup for him.

I wouldn't take Tito over many top tier natural middleweights. And I cant think of a former welterweight in the last few eras that I would pick over Golovkin. Hes a bad match for smaller fighters.
