Removing myself from the statement? I am recounting what Michaelczewski has said in interviews about 18 years ago. You're blaming me for not swearing an oath to the exact word-for-word accuracy?

Why would Jones getting robbed not be a big deal??

Do you think he wanted to experience another stiffing in his life after what happened to him in the Olympics?

Dariuz was a good boxer and was probably the least to benefit from bogus German politics. But it didn't matter because he was based in Germany and the whole world watched Sven the Sham Ottke rob challenger after challenger.

Champs did not go to Germany and the champs in Germany never had any intention of leaving. They were set-up and protected to feed the hungry demand for boxing , which after Football is Germanys biggest sport.

In was on DM to peruse and chase a fight with Roy , not the other way around.

Its like saying if Hatton had called out Floyd to go to Manchester all his career and then claimed he was ducked because Floyd never came over.

His career reminds me a lot of Henry Maske. Pretty big overseas, but underrated here in the US, where the media machine is kicking. If he fought here, he would be much more well known and revered. He had a great career though.

Darius didn't want to travel. They offered Jones a big sum of money to fight on his home turf, but Jones didn't want to risk not being given a fair shake, which was a common thing back then with US boxers traveling to Eastern Europe And Germany. Plus being robbed in the Olympics was always in the back of his mind.

With all due respect to Dariusz, Roy would've put on a pasting on Dariusz, anyway. Jones was the best ever.

NO, this has absolutely ZERO to do with word for word content- absolute ZERO. I have not mentioned word for word accuracy at all - YOU ALONE introduced that. You had no reason to swerve to that defensive stance about something noone raised with you.

you said his promotor "was said to" - which means you were recounting what SOMEONE ELSE reported to you, not something you read firsthand. Thats why I aksed by whom.

BUT NEVERMIND - Now you've clarified that you were wrong to claim that - you really meant YOU YOURSELF recalled this event. So thats all good - all you need to do now is provide the evidence to prove your point.

I already said Dariusz said that in a TV interview about 18 years ago. He was speaking about his promoter, a 3rd person. Therefore the phrasing "his promoter was said to" is entirely warranted.

And no I don't need to provide proof to you . I explained that this is a recollection from memory. If you don't like that please simply sod off and ignore my posts.

NOw you are claiming BOTH "was said to" and that you experienced the news firsthand.

Which is it? Did you hear it on the news, or did you hear someone who wasnt his manager SAY he "was said to"?

Its not a difficult question, I dont know why you arent answering.

I dont see the need for getting blatantly upset in your reply either.

Darius was not in Roy's league. A past prime roy gave Richard hall one of the most brutal one sided beat downs in recent memory and hall went on to give Dariusz a very tough fight

Dariusz actually REMATCHED RICHARD ****ING HALL. Lol at him being too dangerous for roy. Why would roy fight Antonio tarver after a win at HW that he could(and should) have retired on? Why did he fight tarver again? Why is he still fighting if he was someone who was scared of a guy who felt a need to rematch Richard hall and got beat by Julio Gonzalez who roy wiped the floor with despite being called "not the same fighter anymore" by the media after winning all 12 rounds and putting Gonzalez down 3 times?
