If Kell Brook can't make 147lbs a fight with Cotto looms at 154lbs. Who wins ?

He should petition the IBF to fight for their 154lb title, and sooner rather than later.

If Haymon has the $$$, he'll buy that title for Hurd v Harrison, with the latter being #2 by the IBF.

Kell wins. I'm a Cotto fan but if you look at his last few wins, none are all that impressive. Kell's too young, too strong for Cotto at this point in their careers

Cotto's left hook vs Brook's recently mended eye socket could be like Cotto vs Margarito II.

The Cotto from the Martinez and Canelo fights kills Brook!

This would be a good matchup for Cotto. I would actually favor Cotto vs Brook at 154, and I wouldn't favor Cotto vs the top guys, but I think he'd be able to handle Brook over 12 rounds and possibly out box him.

Cotto will beat him. Brook will make him look stupid early doors tho. But cotto will get to him eventually. I rate brook but the way people go on after golovkin its like he won the fight. Pretty sure golovkin took geale out in 3. Cotto took 4. Although golovkins the harder hitter. Cotto himself hits pretty hard with his shots also. Still a great body puncher. He ll push kell back to the ropes then get his success a la carson jones and golovkin. Brooks skill wont last the 12.

Would be a good fight tho...pretty sure its cottos last year in boxing. He is getting older. But if the cotto of the canelo fight turns up...i think he beats brook.

Not sure what Cotto's got left and fighting Brook could go south quick. It would be foolish to rule Cotto out though he's still got a keen boxing mind and those body shots can certainly sap the energy out of you. Fun fight actually.....

    That's Great News , He's moving up to 154 then .
Brook will never fight Spence . Believe me when I say that . He is definitely going to move up now because he will quickly pass on the Spence fight . Remember my words .
Cotto at this point would get taken apart by Brook .

Honestly think brooks got a better chance against spence than cotto. Spences footworks too slow and hes a bit too stiff. Great power tho. But think he ll get frustrated with kell. Cottos a bit similar that his footworks slow but hes got the experience not to get frustrated and is better at manouvering an opponent. I think a mover that can hit him hard will beat spence. Kell doesnt hit that hard but hes not easy to hit unless you overpower him and push him back to the ropes. I dont think spence has the experience or is strong enough to push him back to the ropes a la golovkin. He looks strong but kells not exactly weak either.

Give kell a 50/50 with spence.
    Give cotto 55/45 against brook.

    Both would be good fights.

Cotto dominated and KTFO Daniel Geale 11 months after GGG fought him and took some good licks from geale.

Did you miss the sickening intentional headbutt Cotto blatantly hit him with before the so called "KTFO" (actually Geale basically quit), and I think its pretty clear Brook has a far better chin and a far bigger punch than Geale, Geale has never been able to crack an egg.

Geale is considered one of Golovkin's finest wins.

Are you suggesting that Brook is a better win for GGG?

According to who? Geale isn't half the win Murray and Lemieux were, Geale's resume against mostly non-punchers was a okay but clearly in retrospect, not an impressive win.
