Crawford is a skinny fighter and I don't think that he can compete with those bigger guys at 147 like Brook, Thurman, Gracia, Pacquiao, and etc. He might end up the same way as Broner when Maidana kicked his ass a few years ago.
    what you think?

I think Crawford beats all of them. Manny, FMW, Marquez etc all carried their power up the weights (FMW before issues with health of his hands)

I rate Crawford's ability up there with them, he will be top end p4p soon enough IMO
plus he has perfect frame to carry over weight and not have it hamper him.

Can't see any 147lb'er beating Crawford. Brook included.

I think he can, but it would be interesting seeing him compete against those guys considering he's used to being one of the bigger guys at 135 and 140 (I think he rehydrates something like 17lbs).

He has the frame that he can do it. And he has the skills and boxing style that will allow for a translation without disaster, in my opinion.

Crawford has beaten Postol so it's unlikely that somebody like Maidana would beat his ass like Broner got beatdown.

    Broner has beaten absolutely nobody.

I don't see a reason that he shouldn't be able to compete. At this stage of Manny's career, I'd back him against Manny for sure. Brook will be difficult for anyone just because of his size at the weight but there are still some question marks about Brook. He'd toy with Garcia. Thurman would be a real good fight though. Because it spent years as the glamour division, I do feel like 147 gets a little overrated sometimes. Not saying it isn't a top division, just that it gets more praise than it should.

Crawford was 157lbs in his most recent fight. He drains himself to make LWW. His frame is obviously not as big as a Thurman, Spence, Brook or Porter but it's big enough to be able to control the welterweight division.
    He's better than those guys.

I think he outboxes anyone at 147.

I think he is unbeatable at 140 and won't be moving to 147 unless it's the Pac fight. I think he beats everyone at 147. Him vs Spence would be interesting because they are both young and looking to make an impact in the loaded divison. I think at the moment he beats Spence handily though.

It should be interesting to see if he moves up to WW. One of his biggest strengths at LW and JWW is the fact he has a sizable height and reach advantage against most of his opposition. He wouldn't have that at 147 lbs.

he's definitely a skilled fighter but I still question how his chin would hold up against some of the strong guys at WW. I think he could do well for himself but I'm not so sure he could beat the likes of an Errol Spence. In fact, I think Porter could also give him a run for his money as I don't think Crawford has the power to keep Shawn off of him.

Why do people think Crawford is Great beacuse of size, he is great due to his ability to hit and not get hit, aka his boxing skills, his footwork at either the southpaw or orthodox stance makes him difficult to fight.

He is a highly cerebal fighter, who takes his time to figure his oppenent out, He is Maywhether 2.0, honestly.

I can see why he didnt do well enough in the amatuer scene to get to the olympics, because it takes him at least four rounds to figure out his oppenents patterns, the amateurs is a quick application of styles without thought.

Pros, allows time to change the game plan around due to the longer distance, most his oppenents , like Gamboa, and dulorme, and lundy, if that was the amatuer circut , three rounds, they may have won!,

The move up to Welter will bother the Haymon boys, Bob Arum knows how to find talent, I have to give him credit for that.

These knew propmotors are good, but they look for showman outside of the ring like thurman and Broner, who do not have elite skill. they are world class no doubt. but Crawford beats them.

Only Spence will be a challenge due to size and power. but Spence to me looks like an accident waiting to happen

His fight against similar sized Dulorme, and taller and rangier boxer Viktor Postol, shows you Size aint an issue. Lateral movement, and the ability to dance and float, cause these bigger slower fighters all sorts of problems

I'm in the minority opinion of Crawford that if he goes
to 147, he's gonna get beat. He'll beat this version of
Manny and likely Timmy and quite a few at WW. But Thurman, Brook, Spence,
no. I don't think he'd beat Porter either.
