What do you think of Eddie Hearn telling the world he thought Degale lost?

Well it's very convenient for him to have that happen now, he's been more than happy to lie through his teeth for his other fighters but in a case of a close fight he throws his guy under the bus. If you can't rely on your promoter - someone you pay to big you up - to publicly back you in a close fight then why bother having them?

I get that but there are times when you have to be honest. Roach will know his uh got beat but he will swear up and down his guy won. That leaves a bad taste in people's mouth

He's never minded before and this wasn't such a clear case as to make himself look a fool, plenty of pundits and one judge had scored it for his guy.

This wasn't about him trying to be honest. Put simply his ******* fell out.

This. This is more proof why I think Hearn is the best promoter in the biz right now. You get the sense he's a straight up guy and not feeding us BS.

They don't have to love each other. I thought Eddie could have been a bit more positive after the fight, but it was difficult with Floyd there hogging the air time.

DeGale knows the money fights are likely to be in the UK with Groves, Smith and Eubank Jr. He also knows Eddie will be the best person to make the fights, and get him the best deal. They obviously aren't best buddies, but there is plenty of mutual gain still to be had, so I'm sure the relationship will rumble on.
