After watching Collazo against Vasquez, i realized something...

Collazo in my opinion is a fighter who in his peak didnt have the luck when he needed it......somefighters get that bit of luck and their careers fly....collazo didnt get it

I realised Vasquez had a glass chin.

 

I'll give him credit. I thought he was shot to pieces, but obviously he still has something left in the tank. I'd like to see what spence could do with him.

 

It's unfortunate they let Vasquez fight in that condition, but I don't think it would have played out any different. Vasquez is good, but you have to respect a fighter of Collazo's caliber. When Vasquez was getting the better of Collazo he didn't look like he just recently had surgery. Imo, like Maravilla, Collazo started out as a technical fighter, but at this point lost some speed, but gained some power, dude looks physically bigger than ever. He needs to accept his role now as a puncher picking his shots because he'll get his ears boxed off by the younger, faster fighters. Plus, we all know if he went 12 with a big name fighter in a close fight most likely the other fighter will get the win, he's been there, done that. If Collazo can win sensationally against a top name, he may get a 2nd chance. For now, he's a veteran former champ contenders might want to avoid. Helluva gatekeeper.

 

Collazo had a lot of potential that he did not fulfill, sad.............
