Joseph Parker vs Hughie Fury set for april 1 in Auckland

Will be hard to beat Parker when he fights only in his country honestly,also H.Fury style is quite negative and he cant hurt or drop Parker no matter what,bad news for him.If Fury wins 7-8 rounds he will be given a draw at best.

 

If given the opportunity, why wouldn't a fighter fight in his home town?

 

He is the champion
He is a kiwi
His promoters are good and have the money
They won the purse
Of course he is going to fight in his home town
The day Joshua and Wilder stop running from him is the day that he will trash their house

 

Parker is the boxer fighting behind his jab in all of his fighters in this fight, he will be facing a better mover and technical boxer than himself. So he either has to adopt a more pressuring style or he will lose a decision.

 

Its true, it is a tough fight to call,

I feel like although my eyes tell me hughie a better technical boxer, the facts remain that in the amateur scene, Parker was more successful, and has seen more styles. He fought globally.

Parker resume is looking crazy. I dont think he can beat Joshua and haye etc.

But if he beats Hughie, then I must say we have something special in the man.

My eyes tell me Hughie. but the facts scream clearly for Parker. he has had tougher fights, a more successful amateur career. His jab is monstrous.

 

I don't see the 'it' factor in Parker even if he does beat Hughie. Whilst I rate Hughie from the eye test he really hasn't fought anyone, not to mention his inactivity as of late, Parker on the otherhand is being brought along brilliantly but his ceiling doesn't seem very to me, he has little head movement, basic footwork and when gets caught he moves back in straight lines. He becomes really low output when hes in trouble too and doesn't use his jab as much as he should.

What he does have going for him is a good chin, very quick hands and throws good combinations, plus a hard sharp jab when he commits to it. I see a way bigger upside in AJ in my opinion he's size, power and calmness will make the world of difference when these guys meet provided he doesnt get koed by Vlad and lose all his confidence.

I want Fury to win but this is a hard ask. On the other hand Fury has looked bad in recent fights due to his condition. Now that it's under control from what I've heard he's like a completely new fighter. So i have this feeling we're gonna see a Tyson Fury repeat of him coming out and shocking the world, performing much better than people anticipate. Yet my head still goes for Parker, if that makes sense.

 

Fury is a conundrum, awkward and some ability, but he doesn't do anything that well imo. Parker is more rounded and has more power. Cannot see anything but Parker winning but he needs a stoppage to be taken seriously as a champion.

Have to say I was slightly favouring Hughie because I thought it would end up in the UK.

Joe will have a crowd 4.5 million strong cheering every punch and Hughie will be well up against it in that environment.
