I'm so frustrated with Verdejo, i don't remember when was the last time he looked great in the ring, maybe he doesn't have it. My #2 pick after the 2012 olympics to become a star, what a shame.
Verdejo was once touted as Puerto Rico's next superstar but it's been quite apparent for a while that he's more than likely NOT.
I still think he beats Flanagan having a decent performance like he did last night. At his best, he'd make Flanagan look like a goof though. I'd like to see him fight The Baby Bull next!
Verdejo supposedly didn't look too sharp the other night(haven't seen it myself). It was his first fight since his accident so a lesser performance isn't that big of a deal here but that's a number of fights in a row now where he hasn't looked all that great. I think Flanagan probably beats him if they do fight in June unless he can start looking like the star a lot of people thought he'd be. He's still young and plenty of time to improve and gain experience but as of right now his stock has definitely fallen the last year or two.
