So, let me get this straight... You've managed to spin it so much in your mind that you believe it is LESS of a risk to step up a weight division to fight the P4P#1 than to stay at your own weight? Errrr.... interesting viewpoint. :blood
oh yea.thats why a west indian batsmen was knocked unconcious by an aussie bowler at the weekend and a new zealand batsman had his 2 front teeth knocked out playing against england also at the weekend.also a soccer player called eduardo had the little matter of his leg being snapped in two earlier this season.non contact sure:good
I've been saying it since the Collazo fight(when I turned from Hatton fan to hater after the blatant robbery) Ricky Hatton has no real boxing skills, he's a wrestler that throws a few punches(usually from a clinch) from time to time and when he's forced to fight and not clinch he's given a gift(Collazo) or he get KTFO(Mayweather)
I would'nt call Hatton a joke the man holds/held straps at two different weight divisions. He is who he is a top tier fighter but not quite elite. Sure he's limited but he makes up for it with his heart, strength and determination. For the life of me I could never see why 55k+ would run to the ticket stands to watch him fight as I don't find his style pleasing but you must remember he is huge across seas, his success was and is an inspiration to a country that holds boxing close to their hearts.
Ah right, a close fight that is now a blatant robbery. It must be nice seeing things throught those rose tinted specs. How can someone with no real boxing skill become the top dog in a divison? How can someone unify when they just throw a few punches off a clinch? And are we supposed to believe that Mayweather was the first fighter in 40 odd fights who forced Hatton to fight???? Were there no clinches by either fighter when Hatton fought Mayweather?????? :think You're ****ing priceless. :rofl
Hatton is not a joke. And seems most of his fans coming to his defense in this thread actually have a pretty realistic idea about his abilities. Besides, if he is a joke, this doesn't say much about Mayweather's win over him. My initial response after he beat Ricky was that this was a solid win over a very solid fighter, and it would contribute to PBF's legacy. But, since Hatton is a joke, it was kind of a pointless win. After all, beating a joke of a fighter isn't going to make your resume more impressive. Right?
