Funny how all the Wilder detractors were crying about how he was going to fight another drug cheat.

I disagree. Parker can take a shot much better and punches considerably harder than Wilder's last few opponents who have been competitive with Deontay.

See this is where you Wilder fanboys lose touch with reality, he's had a target on his back since winning the WBC strap and is seen as a potentially chinny, untested belt holder. It's taken a lot of machinations to keep everyone away from him and yet you guys refuse to see what is right in front of you.

A guy who didn't take one meaningful step up in his run to his title shot and then beat a paper belt holder whilst he was ill. Since then he's knocked over a number of top 30 heavies in a serious of pointless matches of little interest proving nothing.

It's not everyone else. It's him.

Situations may as they are but fact remains that his next defence is still gunna be trash.

Doesn't mean it won't be fun to watch though

It's reasonable to pick Wilder to beat Parker (although some of us differ), but you cannot be serious if you think "Parker was the one who preferred to fight Fury over Wilder".

Parker's team have stated numerous time that they would prefer the Wilder unification over the Fury fight. Fury is a high-risk low-reward fight, it's a 50-50 fight according to the bookies.

It must be damn tiring to defend Wilder. I actually have a grudging respect for some of his hardcore fans who continue to do so. The guy has been a professional for 37 fights spanning 9 years, and still hasn't stepped up.

It's actually impressive to watch the lengths people will go to explain this away. If I was a professional sportsman I would want some of you guys in my corner.

the hw division is at an all time low right now. three champs and ex champ fury have one decent win between the four of them. the only decent contenders are 41 yo wlad and 37 yo drug cheat ortiz. the rest all stink.

ESB's most unbiased poster has two threads on the main page, and neither has anything to do with boxing. One is attacking GGG fans and the other is attacking GGG fans that hate Wilder.

not saying whether he should or shouldn't. the guy i was responding to said he was. wilder himself said he wasn't. maybe you should try reading the whole post. if that isn't your problem, work on your reading comprehension.

The WBC gave Pedman a second chance. The interim title on the line vs Stiverne was a one way ticket to Wilder. He would have had no choice but to take the Pedman fight after he beat Stiverne.
Peman blew it again and now Ortiz will take his place and get his shot after he beats Stiverne , which is very likely. The situation is very simple Plank.
