Well spoken 9 min from Ward, much respect to him for the insight like him or not he's certainly a unique guy with substance, fortitude and conviction. Even if i don't agree with the comments that have been written as a result of this video I respect them....its interesting reading the vast difference in reactions.

 

People say that Kovalev is more exciting a boxer than Ward, but it's funny how Ward made most of the excitement in this fight.
Kovalev fans came to see him Krush. They were disappointed.
Ward fans came to see Ward box. We got what we wanted.
Ward snatched those belts and walked away a winner, as usual.

Honestly, that's kind of pathetic Ward resorting to "I walked around with my hands up after the fight, Kovalev slumped in his corner". Kov didn't slump in his corner, that's a lie. But a winner really shouldn't need to resort to that. I can see the loser resorting to saying that, but as the winner you should be above those kind of things that really don't hold any water.

 

And Ward not rematching tells us all everything we need to know. A guy who got a robbery decision, who deep down know he didn't deserve it, is going to run for the hills with that gift win, which so far seems like Ward is doing.

Ha. Kovalev was just the superior boxer and was landing the harder punches. Most of the time Andre Ward was being "effective" by bending the rules and clinching. If the ref wasn't biased Andre probably would have been warned. Even still, Kovalev won the fight.
