Of course NO RESPONSE. Ward KNOWS he physically can't win a fight vs kovalev, he also knows the judges will not be gifting him rounds he clearly loses. I believe kovalev will be getting the benefit IF there happens to be any "close" rounds

 

Can't wait for the rematch...but I will.

 

Hate to be a downer but you know Ward probably gonna retire for a couple years instead of fighting the rematch.

 

By now, Hunter is completely dissected Kovalev's style and has developed a game plan for Ward to win the rematch decisively.
My only question is when Ward defeats Kovalev a second time, will Ward make a run of soft defences or will he go the hard and difficult route for undisputed with Stevenson.

 

Oh lord here we go. What does "no response" mean? 1 day? 3 days? 1 week? For God's sake I'd rather not know about negotiations and just get fights. We as fans shouldn't care what they want from one another. No noise is good from promoters, it means they're working.

Who cares about drug testing when the money hasn't even been discussed.
There are always priorities in negotiations, and the money comes first in business and boxing alike.
IBM doesn't start building and testing a computer until they have first nailed down the cost, selling price and profit.
Prize fighting is no different.
Like the old saying goes; No dough, no show.

 

Each promoter negociates with their fighter the financial part. Its in the contract. Next week it will be 3 months ssince the fight. Surely Ward had enough time to clarify this ish. If he wants the rematch.
Another thing in the contract, signed by Ward and RNS is 120 days of drug testing.
Andre has to decide fast if he wants to fight. Those are terms and timelines he agreed to.

 

If what you state is correct then it isn't on Ward but Roc Nation and the networks.
Obviously Roc Nation or Kathy Duva aren't coming out of their own pockets to finance the fight. They both depend on what revenue the fight will generate to pay their fighters and turn profit, so it isn't as simple as what you outlined.
The fight also must have a venue and that venue must support good attendance. HBO is also involved with a PPV deal, if they deem it is worth it.
Until all this is sorted and a real deal is finally announced there is nothing to get excited about.

Kovalev is more talented than I thought and Ward is much slower at LHW than I expected.

 

Kovalev isn't even tripping. He knows the game over at the scene. It's not in Wards best interest. Ward is just playing people. Kathy needs to calm down being a typical broad. This fight will go through on Wards time. Not on Kathy's lmao. She needs to get this through her head. ****ing dames.

 

Yep its the truth, this why the champ Kovalev got only 2 Mil and the challenger Ward got 5Mil. Each promoter had to negociate and convince his fighter to sign.
I believe Duva made little to no money on the fight. Before the fight she said she'll be happy with 300K PPV sold thus this making me thinkt that was good business model for her. And RNS lost a lot of dough, but I dont think Hova gives a ish about a few millions.

HBO dont pay nothing to RNS or Main Events. They get paid. 7.5% of PPV money, to cover for their production of the event, staff and for the 24/7 episodes. Thats all

So Ward now has to talk with RNS, because he went on the record to say he wants more money this time. I doubt that he didnt talk to them already. I think the "retirement" message was for them, as in Pay me what I want or you'll lose me.
Kovalev will accept the same deal as the first time.
Venue and all that wont be an issue. In the month of june theres no NBA nor NHL so plenty of venues are available.
