Great news! Further proof that Con Man ducked Brook. Money was never the issue, his fragile ego couldn't handle someone part of the same scene being better than him at the same weight class. Hence the insane purse demands.

Best news I've heard all day! This is one of the best fights of 2017 a 50/50 fight. Props to both men for getting this done.

 

I honestly didnt think they would be prepared to come to the UK and would walk away from this one for now and maybe they meet at 154 in the near future. Fair play this is a close fight, Brook is quality but young Spence really does look the real deal to me.

 

WOW! This is a great, era defining welterweight fight! I don't even know who to support as I like them both and Brook is a fellow Brit who has officially redeemed the cherry picking in his earlier career.
I really like Errol Spence, though. It's always nice seeing someone come up from the amateurs to world championship contention. He seems a nice, humble guy.

Running the scenarios, here are the possibilities after this fight:
Brook wins -> Fights Khan with IBF on the line
Brook wins -> Fights Thurman-Garcia winner to unify
Brook wins -> Vacates after being a man of his word and successfully defending, and going up to fight Cotto

Spence wins -> Fights Thurman-Garcia winner to unify (most probable)

 

I'm glad this fight is being made now hopefully we can talk about boxing.
