Betting the house on Gunn to destroy granddad Roy Jones Sr

Even if Gunn is the most unskilled bum in the world, all he has to do is rush Jones, and throw wildely. One punch on that chin, and RJJ is like a queeer on queeer street. Its not the sort of fight anyone should be betting houses on, either way.

Do you think Roy would have gone 8 rounds with Johnson in 2013? Johnson was still a fairly capable operator, still able to test and expose young prospects and even hold his own against world class fighters to some extent. Gunn not fighting in 3 years is a good thing at this stage, Roy has gotten older and suffered more wear and tear. He's going to be the younger and more durable of two, Roy can win but all Gunn has to do is land one good shot....

Should have retired after Johnson... Getting KO'd like that by a guy who isn't know for his punching power ought to be a warning sign... If the writing wasn't on the wall then the thrashing at the hands of Calzaghe and then the one rd blow out to Green it should have been abundantly clear....

 

He is still articulate as an analyst on HBO, but you never know, one fight can end him up vegetable. I don't know, I think the sanctioning body or the commission should take a firmer stance.
