Their bodies may be demanding that that is the weight they need to be fighting at but neither of them have been able to carry with them the core strength that they used so well to bully thier opposition at the lower weights they were more dominant in. Broner is just not powerful or strong enough at 147, although a better Boxer he could not keep Granados off him, wasnt able to make him stop and think, hesitate or worry about anything. Oscar has been desperatly keeping Canelo away from top rated full blown Middleweights. His body has been crying out to be at 160 but everything that has made Canelo a bit of a monster in the ring just fades at 160 against people his own size. I know he is fighing Chavez next but he isnt current or relevent and proved only recently he cant even train properly. Neither are incapable of dropping down a weight but for both of them it will be more of a drain than a natural drop cuz im sure if it was easy for them then thats where they would still be fighting. Although i do accept that they have also moved up to chase some bigger names and better paydays.
disagree, we are yet to see canelo at 160 and there really isnt that much of a jump between 154 to 160 when your already rehydrating to 170+
