As per Sky. Does Amir have absolutely no shame? He now wants to rematch Peterson for his joke of a WBA trinket for **** money when he could of fought for the full IBF in a massively anticipated stadium fight with Brook. Defend this one Khandashians. Brook takes on Spence whilst he chases a never was cheat with a paper title.
After leaving Roach, Khan has been woefully inactive and not the same. Haymon knows that Peterson is a good competitive tune up fight for...Pacquiao.
Pretty damn easy to defend, actually. 1. He wants to avenge what he believes to be an unjust loss. 2. Kell is trying to use the IBF belt as though it has some sort of bargaining power. Khan plans to do the same with the WBA belt. 3. Khan is already getting in shape, he may as well get a fight in there and keep busy before a big fight with Kell. 4. Peterson is a good fighter and was robbed of at least a draw by Danny Garcia.
We know this, Khan is completely shameless. I said this last night during the Peterson fight on the rbr, if Peterson wins then Khan is a real possibility because Khan will be thinking its the easiest fight out there for him that can generate some interest. I think Peterson beats Khan anyway so let it happen, Khan will never be the same after Canelo, Canelo has cracked him.
I think i remember the 1st fight being a good one although at 140 where Khan looked better. Id be happy if this one was made
Realistically he just wants anyone that's not Brook. He'd take Pac for the pay day or anyone else to avoid the embarrassment of losing to Brook
Completely and utterly wrong in every sense of the word. 1. If he was so bothered by the loss he should have avenged it sooner than SIX YEARS later, why suddenly the interest now? 100% looking for a way out of any potential Brook fight. Why didn't he rematch Prescott or Garcia? 2. The WBA "regular" holds about as much weight as Eubank's IBO title, there's nothing to bargain with there 3. Khan will never fight Brook because he is petrified he will lose, he has had ample opportunity to fight Brook. Even Khan's own team don't understand it. 4. Garcia, another fighter who beat Khan lol!
Wrong. He's had the opportunity to avenge the loss lots of times but only wants to pursue 'revenge' now so he can duck a number of the top guys at 147. The WBA interim title doesn't mean **** in comparison to the IBF title. It's a meaningless trinket akin to the WBC silver belt in the eyes of anyone who knows anything about boxing. He wasn't in shape before? BS. He just doesn't want the fight and in the opinion of most fans never has done. Peterson is a best a top ten fighter at the weight. Some might only have him in their top 15.
Who says Khan even deserves a shot at a World Title even if it is the WBA Regular belt, as far as I can see he hasn't done anything impressive since losing the first Peterson fight
I completely concur. I'd put money on Peterson beating him once again. He will outwork khan as khan cannot cope with pressure. Algeri who is a quarter of the fighter Peterson is, gave khan work and could easily claimed a draw. I do not think it was Canelo that ruined him -though he did add additional brain damage- it was the hands of Garcia that completely destroyed him and drained all the confidence from his soul. Prior to that encounter he genuinely believed he was a superstar amongst the elite and was actually willing to fight credible opponents in his own weight division. Since joining with Hunter he has treaded very carefully, only looking for big pay days. He couldn't grab Mayweather or Pacquiao for that, so settled for Canelo.
He was on Twitter two days ago saying this year was going to be massive, targeting Thurman/García winner, Brook and Cotto.
