At 6"3, he's taller than a fair few heavyweights and not far off 15 stone, Bellew could be a legitimate heavyweight himself. Albeit, not a great one but would cause someone like Price a world of problems.

My point is, physically it's not as big a mismatch as some people think.

I reckon when you look at each fighter at the weigh in you will see a huge difference physically. They might be similar height and weight, but I cant see Bellew coming in looking as well defined and muscular as Haye. If he puts the weight on he will probably come looking a bit soft and flabby. Happy to be proven wrong though.

Though im hoping Bellew wins, i cant see it.

He would beat price but that's not really saying anything.

I think the difference in this is Haye is a lot more athletic than Bellew so even if size wise the difference isn't huge the extra athleticism Haye has will be apparent.

I would love to see Haye get beat but Bellew isn't the guy to do it unfortunately.

I am tempted to lump a couple of grand on Haye to win for an easy £500 but a few things are putting me off:

1 - everything David Haye does stinks. He has proven not to be an honest man and thinks nothing of deceiving both the public and his fans. Bellew is also of questionable character and clearly cares about his retirement pot more than his fans or boxing itself.

2 - there could be rehearsed WWE like antics in order to set up a rematch - Doctor stoppage, dodgy ref stoppage, some sort of DQ from either boxer, close or contested points decision. Bellew tried this in the cleverly fight, but quickly realised nobody cared or wanted to see them fight again.

3 - sometimes the underdog comes in and the warning signs are there that Haye has taken his eye of boxing. He might get taken into the later rounds and gas at which point Bellew could take him out. (very unlikely, as said before Bellew is not exactly a KO artist despite what his boxing mates say, he could not even land on a one handed Cleverly resting on the ropes not throwing punches for 3 minutes.).

4- Haye is clearly trying to get the biggest paydays using the easiest route. Bellew is also cash building seeing no winnable money fights at CW. I would suspect they (including Hearn) are probably laughing about this and been working together on this fight for a while.

As others have said, its a PPV mismatch of epic proportions in the same bracket as Khan v Canelo, Golovkin v Brook, Eubank Jr v Quinlan and Anthony Joshua vs TBC.

Bellew's said in an interview that he's been sparring with Chisora. It'd be really interesting to know how he's been getting on as we all know the pressure Chisora can apply and how hard he can hit.

immediate reaction when the fight was announced was that it was a complete mismatch and will be a demolition job. Now I'm getting that classic thing as it gets closer to the fight where I start questioning myself and the fight becomes a much closer contest in my mind. I've learnt from experience that it isn't really the case and it's just my mind messing with me.

It's a mismatch, haye will destroy bellew if he has anything left.

Agree with nearly all of your post, some very good points there.

However Brook vs GGG was a great fight, one of the fights of the year.

I wonder why? They are not remotely similar Haye and Chisora in any way?? Also, FWIW I have never thought of Chisora as a heavy hitter, what has made you think that way fella?

Brook got his face broken, it was entertaining but a mismatch just like Canelo vs Khan and this is. Haye will finish him in round 4-5. Bellew is not a back foot fighter he won't have the stamina at this higher weight to move around constantly, he will try to move for the fewround but when Haye catches him with a good shot he will do what he usually does and try to come out swinging which will be his demise.

I think I was just going on their builds in my head mate. You're right though, they're very different. Haye is unique and I don't think you'll find a sparring partner like him.

However, having a pressure fighter like Chisora who's a couple of stone+ heavier than him trying to take his head off sounds like he's not cutting corners in his preparation.

Brook vs GGG was NOTHING like Canelo vs Khan. You missed a great fight!
