In my opinion... He hasn't gotten any better. There's no improvement what so ever. Now make no mistake about it, Ab is a very good fighter. One of the most accomplished champions in history. Like it or not. But what are your opinions?
He's never beaten one A level guy in his career. He went life and death with Malignaggi, Granados and De Leon and when he took on top guys in Maidana and Porter they used him as a condom. What pisses me off about Broner was he got big off the eye test and a Mayweather co-sign he never once proved his worth in the ring.
Waste of talent. Nothing is more annoying than seeing somebody waste their potential. He has had a good career whilst just coasting and acting the fool. Imagine if he had adopted Floyds work ethic. It was all there for Broner but he blew it
His lack of class, his feelings of self entitlement, the way he tried to get Maidana DQ'd rather than take his beating like a man. I better stop there, although i could go on all night.
That he might get to fight Pacquiao because Pacquiao is Arum's pawn and Arum is a greedy expletive. Doesn't matter how many gifted paydays he gets anyway he will be broke not long after he quits the sport.
His weak mindset. He has a juvenile 16 year old mind like Zab Judah that will forever block him from reaching his potential.
He relies on the lead left hook instead of setting up his offense with the jab. I rarely see him throw the ol 1-2 and finish up with the left hook. I blame this on his trainer.
he edged out the Malignaggi fight just like he edged out the Granados fight. A win is a win. Didn't see the De Leon fight. As far as Porter and Maidana, I'd bet cash money a semi(not even completely focused) focused Adrian Broner beats Porter 9 times out of 10. Watching the fight it was clear Broner was being to reactive and not proactive enough and I think most people would agree with me. Maidana, well **** Maidana gave the defensive master Money May some serious serious problems, there is no shame in Broner losing to Maidana. Similarly, there is no shame in Canelo losing to Money. A loss is not the end of the world. If folks keep acting like it is, the cherry picking and ducking will continue.
No version of Broner beats Porter. He hasn't got the footwork to move like Thurman nor the strength to hold like Brook. I don't mind that he lost to Maidana or Porter ( although he did try to drain Porter) I like that Broner took those tough challenges but don't make excuses for him when he loses just admit the kid is not A level. Broner is a B level guy who has some A level attributes and will trouble some A level guys but doesnt have the togetherness to make an A level package.
