The layoff all but ruined his legs imo. By 1967 he was really filling out to his more durable/best weight of around 212. Ali beats everyone including Frazier had he not been exiled.

He would def of fought Frazier/Foreman earlier and beat them, he was insanely fast and skilful. But not fighting at his peak is what really made him an icon.

He goes undefeated and ruins his legacy. Frazier and Foreman become Povetkin. Ali beat both, eventually loses to a no name, becomes known as a Wlad like fighter who dominated a poor era.

I think a lot of people are underestimating frazier against the young ali. A young Joe would have been determined to take that title from ali and would have fought the fight of his life. Yes Ali would have had the speed to keep moving but later rounds Joe would have been right in ali s face. It would have been ali toughest fight to date. I can't really decide who wins but Ali would take more punches in this fight than he'd done before. But it would show for the first time ali s heart in a hard fight and frazier would become a top name over night

the question mark would only be raised with someone of the gold standard calibre of frazier.

if joe wins its by the narrowest of split decisions, mch closer than their FOC.

If he maintained focused, remained uninjured and did essentially everything that he was supposed to, then yes.. But those are always very big "IFS".

I think Frazier would get him the first time anyway, presuming he doesn't jump too early. Ali would beat him back twice in response, I think the timeline wouldn't be too dissimilar.

Nobody beats him imo, including Frazier. If he has an off night sure, but at his best, nah.

I think he would have taken Frazier lightly no matter what which would have been a very big mistake.

wat if ali had ate 100lbs weight in pies to gain that in body weight then you cant say he'd lose.

if you support the fat people are best boxers thery

I think Frazier beats Ali anytime after `69. Joe was also at this peak around that time and he had a style that took Ali some time to figure out how to cope with. Ali had to make certain adjustments to beat Frazier including tying him up to blunt Joe`s inside attack.

Assuming no off-night and properly prepared for the fight, IMO, 67-70 Ali beats any version of any fighter in boxing history.
