I wonder if, 50 years from now, people will be on whatever their version of a forum is discussing boxing and boxers as we do and they will look back on what could be a very long series of title defences and marvel at what a peerless heavyweight Deontay Wilder must have been. You already see it here with people romanticising the records and abilities of the greats of previous decades.

He has had zero title defences as the champion. Wilder is only a belt holder, until he is number 1 in the devision it does not count.

Mr. Wilder will be looking for defense #6 come this Sunday.
He's passing Holyfield and Marciano with ease :drive:

And he might even beat Marciano's retirement record if the WBC lets him. 50-0. He's a gorilla, he's a dawg! Nothing left to prove! The best F-er! Bomb squad big man, bomb squad. The goat among sheep!

His self esteem will crush him long before he gets to 50 on bu.ms.

In the long run, the way you treat your integrity can eat holes in your ability and personality. Lie for long enough and he will start to believe the lie. His toughest opponent, like everyones, will be himself.

    Herol's finally been banned? Rejoice.

What's he going to do now he won't be able to spend every waking moment posting in Calzaghe threads? lol

Since when did Holyfied make 6 consecutive title defences?

He won't ever surpass Marciano cos he is just a belt holder , but he is on track to surpassing Vitali Klitschko.

Herol knows a lot about having holes eaten into his ability and personality due to constant lying to himself.

    Hey, don't knock Herol.

Somebody has to try and be the counterweight on the scale that measures the greatness of Calzaghe.

    That somebody is Herol.

He did his best, considering that he was trying to tear down a legend with an incredible record, blinding handspeed, great wins and amazing good looks :D

I should probably cut this short since Herol will read this (he has a special 'bot' to pick up whenever "Calzaghe", "zaggers" or "Joe" is written on any of 16 different boxing forums) and won't be able to reply.

This will eat like acid away at him.

Dude...smh. Love Wilder - I honestly believe he can unify the division but not nearly in the same class as Holyfield yet. Seriously...Holyfield unified cruiser. Beat Foreman and Tyson...went to war with bowe and put in good performances against Lewis. Wilders resume right now is not in the same stratosphere...yet.
