i hope canelo low punch output was caused by him draining at 154 because if thats all he can do even at 160 then he cant win this fight sorry

I like the post. The only problem is Canelo ALWAYS fights off the back foot. He has done it in every fight. He goes back, bobs and weaves, throws that uppercut & hook combo and leans on the ropes.
He tried it on September 14, 2013 and was slapped around by the boxing Einstein.
Canelo is really the anti-Mexican traditional fighter. He is a slick black fighter inside of his head.
Just look at a compilation of his fights, he not that much of a "plodder", he has great head and waist movement, he feints a lot, hell he is more of "the next Money Mayweather" than Berto,Broner, Davis or TMT combined.

Guys are you all maive enough to really believe this farce ?? Just think for one minute
Not that long ago Canelo appearing to be a coward as he handed back the WBC belt rather than defend it against GGG. Oscars excuse.. Canelo's body is not ready to fight at 160 he is not a middleweight/
Now suddenly Canelo ie ready & able to fight Chavez lr @ 164. IF he makes 164 Chavez will be drained to practically a corpse . When did Canelo grow a set ?? Or did he get a transplant?? LOL
Do you honestly think Oscar's going to risk his one and only $$$ maker in a real FIGHT!!!!!!????
If so I have some prime real estate in the Louisiana swamps to sell.

Someone who fights off the back foot is someone like Lara. Canelo is a counter puncher. Canelo does take steps back as a strategy to lure his opponents in, but he doesn't punch off the back foot

When I think of a traditional Mexican champions I think of Chavez Sr., Sal Sanchez, Finito Lopez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Erik Morales, Miguel Canto etc those fighters who would bob and weave, use waist movement, and different defensive techniques for fighter whose style require them to fight inches away from their opponents, and use timing to negate their opponents speed.

You're like a casual who equate MX style to fighters like Margarito who use no defense.

Black style varies depending on what school of boxing you take up.

Yes ,you are right, Canelo is a counter puncher / boxer puncher.
The reason I said "slick black" was purely comedy relief. It's a running joke for knuckle heads on the board so I tossed it in there.

Sometimes you just have to be entertained CJ. We are modern Rome and these are our gladiator sports. It's not always about honor. It's been a long time since a fighter uttered that word.

Although I'm a GGG critic, I don't think ballsy and canelo should be on the same sentence, at least for now..

Betting your entire purse, regardless of the odds is pretty damn ballsy.

Yes, they shook on it on camera, and then later in the video it interviews Canelo again, and explains why he made that bet.

Alvarez is gonna give Jr. An Angulo type beatdown. Jr. Has nothing to bring Vs. Canelo. His height will be his downfall as Canelo will be right there to break down Jr.'s body. Chavez quits... the towel is thrown in or he gets KTFO.

I like watching Canelo fight. He is one of my favorites because he learns from every fight. He is mega rich and is far more dedicated to the art than guys younger or the same age as him. And lastly he can fight. No doubt the man can fight like a mutha****a and he really wants to be considered the best out there.

If it was all money he could have bottomed out long ago. We are 4 years removed from his big PPV record and look how many fighters have fell off. Canelo deserves more props than people give him, but Boxing always needs a "bad guy".
