350 lbs Fury who would gas out within 4-5 rounds. Vitali is close to 50 but in top shape.

 

neither man is in shape.
why would anyone enter a boxing ring without training? thats a health hazard, it wouldnt be sanctioned. you continue to make no sense.

 

Ahhh the myth that is Tyson Fury.

The only man in boxing who is judged solely off one fight in which his opponent refused to throw any punches, Wlad would have danced his way to a draw with a heavy bag that night. People need to look at tysons other fights and realise how clumsy he is, his footwork is pretty awful, constantly leaving himself off balance. His defence is not that great either when the opponent throws punches back at him. He doesn't even throw his punches properly.

He can be awkward with good head movement, that along with his size will be enough to beat a lot of the current division but against a guy his size willing to throw punches and walk through furys slaps, it's not gonna be enough.

Vitali takes this, probably by TKO.

 

If he had no defence, but he didn't walk through solid shots, then how did he win almost all of his fights? To an extent, I agree with you about Vit not walking through punches. He didn't if he could avoid it. Distance and fluidity were largely his game. I am saying that if Fury chose to fight him "negatively" like he did Wlad, Vit wouldn't have been content to let Fury skate to a decision win. Vitali had much more confidence in his chin than his brother for sure. The uppercut that Lewis landed on him would have felled men of lesser chins.

 

Wlad made the fight negative , not Fury. Wlad was smart enough to know he was going to get the worst of it if he opened up and took chances.
Fury totally schooled him from the outside and he would do the same to the lesser skilled Vitali.
If Vitali chose to walk him down he's be met by a much superior inside boxer.
Vitali has zero skills in close , that is why he chose to always stay on the outside. He depends on spacing to throw long straight shots. Fury's zig -zag movement and multi dimensional skill set over comes Vitali's basic 1-2 dimension.
The fight is all wrong for him.

 

I don't rate Fury's inside skills all that highly, but Vitali left something to be desired in that department for sure. I think he would have made the fight harder for Fury than Wlad did though, regardless of whether he would have come out on top or not. I mean, boxing fans everywhere were practically begging for Wlad to let his hands go and make a fight of it. The only explanation in most people's minds was that he was too concerned with protecting that fragile mandible, which would be much less of a concern with his big bro, imo. As you said, Fury does have some good skills and he's a better boxer than a lot of people give him credit for. Too bad we'll never know for sure.
