The first was one of the harder punches a conventional fighter can throw, that arced overhand right. You see a lot of bombers use it a lot. He planted his feet perfectly delivering it to Bute as well.

    Congrats to Alvarez though!

There went the grand plan of getting Bute a title shot so they could cash in on him one last time to Stevenson.

It's for the best, trust me. Adonis would've given some fan in the 10th row Bute's head as a souvenir had that fight come off.

Ok we get it... You think this is the end of Bute's career. Don't need to repeat it 100x over.

This commentary is atrocious... One of the best boxing shows you've seen in your life? Give me a break...

Bute made decent money. Hoped he saved or invested it cause he needs to retire.

Its in Quebec, all they have there is snow, curling and fading memories of their former NHL team the Quebec Nordiques...!!!

Seems like a sharp enough guy, doesn't strike me as a wanton spender. I think he'll be ok, he could probably write a book and show up on TV here and there and make decent money. He's got quite the fan base.

Alvarez is pretty good but Bute was winning that before he got caught. Got a bit too overconfident there. And Beterbiev's last opponent Prieto hurt Alvarez numerous times in their fight (very badly once) and gave him hell. I'll be surprised if Alvarez beats Adonis though, if they ever get it on that is.

Since these commenators feel the need to repeat themselves 100x... I'm going to do the same! Bute dropped the ball tonight! He opened up too much that round and Alvarez waited for his chance and took it. Had Bute stuck to throwing 1-2 shots he would have more than likely taken this!

Prieto wasn't gun shy and let loose bombs from the opening bell. Bute was more sporadic and gave the younger Alvarez the gaps, and time, he needed.

I do like how Alvarez gets his gloves real high and basically tucks up while under fire. Good defense.

Got busy at work and missed the end, didn't expect a Alvarez KO.

You don't think Bute was a top 5 SMW at one point and time?

Don't think anyone did. Maybe Alvarez felt he needed to throw with really bad intentions in there because of a potential judging debacle?
