I haven't seen you post on here before, and since you managed to call a fight correctly, you are now calling yourself the guru of all things boxing. If I were you, I'd tone it down a bit, nobody likes a bighead.
Yes. Thank you. Guru? I don't claim anything of the sort. I only claim that people who believed in Izu are delusional. A claim I'm taking much joy in making as I was treated with such hostility and derision when I pointed out Izu's flaws before. And I post on here often. Although not in the last two weeks as I had been banned for offensive language.
Breazeale is almost 6'7 ..Foreman was 6'3 or so and crammed in 260 plus pounds ....i cant recall ppl heckling him though? lol Yes Breazeale was 10 pounds over what he should be and would have actually made the fight MUCH easier had he been the ( Joshua ) weight but he got the job done. And 262 is not nearly 270...it is closer to 260.
The FACT is Joshua MADE Breazeale look like a amateur...Izu is VERY gifted. some of those shots landed would be too much for a lesser chinned guy than Breazeale who like i SAID is a solid fighter. I guess the guys a bum now? Izu is still better skilled than Parker lets not sweep that UNDER the rug! .
Has nothing to do with overrating..or losing to a guy i had ranked over him...on the contrary my rankings show i know what im talking about and DOESNT change my rankings, since Breazeale was ranked just above Izu. They would have simply switched spots.
WTF? Izu thinks he's a bigger puncher than he really is. Parker IS a big puncher, and fights accordingly.
Sorry but you are wrong! In fact Parker is the overatted puncher that is overatted on his power. BOTH hit hard .
I presume Breazeale won then, never saw the fight but I liked Breazeale as he showed some toughness unlike that fraud Martin against AJ.
Based in what exactly? He went the distance with Takam and Ruiz, Ugonoh went the distance with friggin Julius Long and Breazeale never came close to putting Kassi down, unlike Mansour. I hate to break it to you but Breazeale and Ugonoh both probably go the distance with Takam and Ruiz as well, and maybe even lose.
Both hit hard on the stationary sandbag; but against a mobile target, Parker puts his punches together MUCH better than Ugonoh does, and has superior defense, chin and stamina.
What let Izu down tonight was his chin and his tendency to leave himself open when he's attacking. He was outboxing Breazeale for most of the fight, but Breazeale is tough. I think it was @houmzz who posted a while ago the Ugonoh - Julius Long (another tall, tough but limited fighter) fight, where Izu dominated most of the fight but got caught badly and nearly KO'ed at one point towards the end of a round. This was indeed very similar, Ugonoh outboxing Breazeale but getting caught and hurt three times, the third of which led to the stoppage. Congrats to Breazeale, I got this one wrong.
What killed Izu was the steady diet of tomato cans he's been fed to date in his professional career. That, and a gutsy balls-to-the-wall performance from Breazeale. Tough training & sparring needs to be complemented with respectable opponents in real fights. Hope he makes it back. He wasn't far off tonight despite taking a big step up in class.
