He is filthy rich, retired (and still is) in good health. Never involved in any scandals/crime/drugs during or after his career (or at least none that I have heard of).

Lennox is the kind of guy who fought everyone when they were at or near the peak of their careers in terms of drawing potential. The guy made too much money. In fact he made so much money that he turned down a 20million type payday because he realised he would not be in top shape. And to top it off he is not even close to being punch drunk

What's classifies as a good retirement?

Money? Health? Or a combination of both?

Lennox, Foreman, Hagler, SRL - they are seem to be pretty healthy, and I'm sure their bank accounts are just fine. DLH and Floyd will probably fit in here, too.

Or does it also include going out on top? If so, we can take out DLH, SRL, and Forman.

 

For a boxer, I think it would include all of the above, with more emphasis put on health, followed by how the fighter went out and called it a career......Finances for me would be third in my criterea.

You can have money and be miserable, and not have so much and be as happy as can be.

Money imo is overrated, and it is'nt the main criterea for happiness.

 

Larry Holmes gets my vote.

 

How about Ray Mancini?

He's been fairly comftorable, and stays in the public eye by doing comentaries and interviews.

 

No 1 is obvious........ The one and only ROCKY MARCIANO... 32 and 49-0... It just scares me when I look at it
