Would Floyd be the best at 147 still in 2017?

Didn't look too hot in his last fight vs Berto in 2015, but can anyone beat him now? I think he'd still beat Thurman but Spence would probably put it on him with his youth.

I agree, he may be considered the best but once he tested himself against a couple of these young lions we would see other wise. Floyds a great fighter with extraordinary abilities and ring intellect, but he's also 40 years old at this point. At this stage in his career I don't thinks its far fetched to say that Errol Spence has not only a great chance at beating him but even stopping him late. We all have heard the stories of how tough a time Errol gave Floyd in sparring a couple years ago, even blacking Floyds eye in the process as rumor has it.

Another fighter I give a good chance of beating Floyd currently, is Terrance Crawford. That's if hes not in awe of Floyd when he gets in the ring with him. Some may call me crazy but I've always thought Shawn Porter would give Floyd a good run for his money, especially an older Floyd. I'll explain why; not only Porters strength and aggression...but more importantly his speed of foot. Porter has fast feet and is an athlete, we all saw the success much smaller men like Zab and Ricky Hatton had with Floyd in the first half of the fight. The difference being these two guys didn't have the endurance and/or the mental fortitude of Shawn Porter.

I think he's time has been and gone. Spence or Crawford I'd expect to pick it up and get the W. I think it's their generation now

You guys are seriously underestimating Thurman. I dont get it. The guy takes a couple of big shots to the body and suddenly hes not as good as a Crawford or Spence? You guys are nuts! Thurman is the most versatile of all the top young WW.
