I had Washington leading 3-1 at the time of stoppage. Kudos to Washington to actually brought the fight to wilder, landing a few stiff jab and right hand to wilder's jaw. Yes, he was stunned but I thought he took them quite well, or maybe it was Washington limitation not to be able to follow up instead of being smothered. I thought Washington was in control but once again wilder power bailed him out. There is meanness to it when wilder punch, I was about to give more respect and stop making fun, but then the rematch with stiverne came up. Oh well... back to the bashing I guess lol.
Because he's fighting bum after bum, and seems to think he is the second coming of SRR. And even the low grade guys he does fight give him problems With his power and size he should be a world beater, yet to me it seems he is going backwards. The only good thing about him thus far is that he is a can't-miss target for ridicule.
Exactly. One of the things that I absolutely hate about boxing is the way powerful promoters and managers hype up mediocre fighters by padding their records with utter stiffs, trying to make them seem like they are good fighters when they aren't. It's a con game. Wilder is the worst case of this I have seen in 35 years of following boxing. Not only did he face stiffs, they were some of the worst I have ever seen a fighter face - and he faced them for YEARS longer than most guys do before stepping up. And not only that, but some of these tomato cans actually had Wilder on the canvas - which reveals why he's STILL facing fighters that are mediocre! Wilder's a FRAUD, who is packing glass in his jaw, and his handlers know it. Meanwhile the public is being deceived into thinking he is better than he is.
NO HE'S NOT, Washington would crush pulev easily. And I didn't see a single shot bother dw, and a "lucky shot", all lucky shots are set up perfectly over a few rounds. I guarantee your clueless trolling brain couldnt even pick up how dw was setting Washington perfectly. Using Washington's own jab/step forward against him Lucky ****, you're a ****ing moron
I've got to hand it to you, your obsession is real nothing fake about; However, think about what your saying (also keep in mind I'm not a big Wilder supporter) Would you say Joshua Clottey has a terrible chin? Was he not dropped by a Miguel Cotto jab in the 2nd round of their fight several years back? A 6 foot 6 240 LB man hits you with well timed Jab is it possible that it shows its impact....maybe slightly? Was he really badly hurt or do you think your confirmation biased is causing you to sensationalize the normally trivial aspects of a boxing match.
that punch was far from lucky man...if you think that punch was "lucky" you need to find a new sport...or this was your first boxing match you've watched
Wilder sets people up he's been doing it well over his career. With that said he might not be so lucky as he steps up with guys who can take his power if he's willing to lose rounds until he can figure someone out and set them up for his power. The Stiverne fight he actually boxed well and Stiverne was able to take his power so who really knows?
People say that Rahman won against Lewis with a "lucky" punch. Actually, Rahman was timing Lewis with the right hand.
I personally don't believe in "lucky" punches. If the fighter intended to throw it, then it wasn't "lucky".
