Most people here agree that Eubank Jr was offered the fight first, only you and dino think that Hearn/Loeffler planned for Eubank to pull out at the last moment and be replaced by Brook. It's just a conspiracy theory. If it was pre-planned, why did GGG go on tape ruling out Brook if he knew it would make him look stupid in a few months' time? Why did the whole boxing world rip the Eubanks? The fight was a plain money-making legacy-useless exhibition. It would be completely unjustifiable if it wasn't for Eubank's last minute ducking.
most of the boxing "world" are ggg fans/apologists....there were also rumors/videos talking about ggg/brook way before even the eubank name was mentioned as a serious fight how often do legit career MW's go on and fight career WW's when both guys are big names? out of the blue? it never happens by accident...stuff like that isn't an accident ive read loeffler talk about how he goes about making fights for ggg...he said he has a list of 3-4 names every time...and obviously they have a primary choice and go on from there......now logically....how does loeffler go to eubank and stick with him so long without a signature? so long that he has NO OTHER OPTION but brook? at a certain point if you don't have a signature from eubank you logically move on to the next guy and say "we tried but I couldn't get it done and I had to leave myself enough time to secure a new opponent"........that's just logical and sensible...
Loeffler prob. had no objections to the Brook fight because it was good money, however Eubank was still the first choice. Even people who don't like GGG weighed in to castigate the Eubanks. Should Loeffler made sure he had a better back-up plan? Yes, that's a fair criticism. But GGG had no plans to fight Brook, the video made that perfectly clear.
GGG has too much power for all middleweights but has not got great skills.I see 1 way this fight could go. I can see GGG trapping Jacobs on the ropes and unleashing lots of body shots by round 4 and taking Jacobs out. Jacobs has to be constantly using his fast feet and fast hands to evade GGG but i feel that when Jacobs is on the defensive GGG will overwhelm him on the ropes.
I'm a fan of ggg and don't give him credit for Brook. Just can't. If Brook had at LEAST fought and beat a top 5 154 pounder than he'd get some credit. But given that Brooks best win was a close decision over 147 pound Porter, it's too much of a stretch in class.
can't wait for the handful of new threads tomorrow, saying the exact same thing. this forum has about four topics, beaten to death every damned day.
I don't really think it's his best opponent to date, but it would be his best win if he does what's expected of him. But I'm pretty sure Jacobs signed on go be called a talentless bum, in a talentless division by the Golovkin haters from the moment he touches the canvas.
Jacobs has an awful Glass Jaw, this fight isn't going to last 4 rounds. Secondly, Brook is going to expose your man Spence.
i give ggg a chance if he rough jacobs up within the first 4 rounds but he starts slow and follow him around the ring jacobs beat him up and knock him out.
Just like you said you was gonna give Kell Brook credit if he agreed to fight Erroll Spence, then he did agree to fight Erroll but the racism that seeps through your veins wouldn't allow it? Mark my words everyone, this guy post fight 'I'm not giving GGG credit because Jacobs has a glass chin and has been put over by featherfisted Mora. Mayweather beating McGregor would be a far more impressive win'
We all know Brook was a last minute replacement for Eubank. It was a stay busy fight for decent money. Why try to claim GGG fans are saying otherwise when they're not? Oh right. You're a jealous Floyd fanboy who cries about GGG's popularity in every thread...
jacobs chin questionable then so is ggg he takes to give one. Jacobs won't be there to be paid back every combination. Mora said before the second Jacobs wouldn't stop hm after the fight He said" He hit me harder tha anyone he's faced with both hands with relentless combinations.
Fair play for giving him credit if he wins. Also I'm a fan of both ggg and brook, but also been watching spence since the Olympics and am a big fan, not all of ggg's fans fit the stereotype you've laid out.
Same here. After the Eubakns p×××y out, it was just a money grab for K2&GGG I do give credit to Kell Brook, even though it was a win-win type of scenario for him, he risked to rest of his carrer by fighting a huge puncher two divisions above.
