Let The Hype Begin: Thurman vs Garcia!!

I never bet on a 50/50 fight, its just to risky. Besides this is one of the best matchups in boxing and a real statement fight for both guys so i hardly need to add anymore hype.

Hoping danny wins to be honest. Im a sucker for a good left hooker and i feel like to many people hate on him because of his old man (yes even before his questionable "WINS" and the salka cherry pick)

Winner should fight brook/spence winner and the 2 losers should also go at it. Its time to crown a new king of the welters!!!

 

Nice! I pick Thurman to win a close fight as he's been in with better opposition at 147 lb (and IMO is a slightly better boxer), but it's close to a 50/50 fight. Both have good power and Garcia has the better chin, even a Garcia stoppage wouldn't surprise me.

This weekend should be fun, we have a really significant fight (this one of course), a big KO (Haye vs Bellew), and some nice scraps such as Andrzej Fonfara vs. Chad Dawson and the Egg vs Paulie.

 

Ditto, I have a big poker torn that day so I won't be watching the fight until Sunday. Which also means I won't be browsing the internet either.

 

Holdem, though I won a Omaha high torn back in 2014 when I really started to get into it. I was playing underground 5/10 Omaha Hi/Lo for a couple of months tearing up some whales in NYC and ten took my strategy to the casino which backfired for me.

I'm going with Thurman. He's got more facets to his game and will outbox Danny.

 

I'm expecting a high level chess match to ensue. Both boxers will be cagey and cautious, respecting each others power. There will definitely be good exchanges from time to time but I dont expect the pace to reach Thurman Porter levels. Danny likes to fight at a slower pace and with one time Thurman being a counter puncher boxer-puncher their styles will mesh to a lower activity level fight. Danny can win if his timing is on point. Thurman will win if he can unload his combos.

My prediction:

There will be one round dominated by either Thurman or Garcia, in which the other secures a flash knockdown. 2 judges will award the round 10-8, with the other handing in a score of 10-9 for the more dominant boxer...!!! This round will be the pivotal round, thus making a clear cut Unanimous Decision none existent and cultivating in a razor thin Split Decision victory...!!!

 

If you think this is truly a 50/50 fight why wouldn't you bet the side that pays 2 to 1 in Garcia now that his line has hit +200? If someone gave you odds on a coin flip and you were to be paid two dollars if you picked heads and it came up and lost a dollar if it came up tails, would you say no to that too?

 

What am i gna do. Put 20 dollars to make 40 or risk losing 20 bucks.. its not worth it. Pac khan is gna end in a KO so ill take a 20 dollar punt on a round because i wont miss 20 dollars but ill stand to make an impressive ammount...

 

Correct he does have more facets to his game. But danny can come over come that . Just remember all them facets to his game can b tricky . Would if he pulls the wrong tool out at the wrong time?
