    Duran, Whitaker, and Chavez really didn't make that much compared to what they accomplished. Morales and Barrera made very little for guys who climbed 4 weight classes and fought elite competition too. Roman Gonzalez is in his fourth weight class, about 18 title fights in, undefeated in nearly 50 fights, and he's made an average of about 200 grand his last 4 fights, the biggest paydays of his career. He bitches about it, won't fight Inoue, or rematch Estrada and Cuadras for less than a million dollars; but here he is again fighting the number 4 ranked guy for about 400 grand.

    Holyfield made 500 million dollars. You might as well say De La Hoya, Leonard, or Pacquiao. Marquez and Hopkins also made tens of millions of dollars and were extremely motivated by money. Don't get it twisted. Just because Hopkins did a few things at the end for legacy doesn't mean he wasn't largely motivated by money the rest of his career.

    Lomachneko and Inoue seem to be focused on that sort of thing, Hasegawa set a goal of being a 3 weight champion and did that, retiring afterwards rather than pick up one final pay day

    Lomachenko certainly seems the most legacy driven current fighter. Maybe Andre Ward?

    Maybe but I'm pretty sure in the end Froch tried to get Ward to come to fight in Nottingham and Ward turned it down! Why should Froch always travel everywhere while Ward camps out in his side garden.

    I probably should had read prior to posting , probably a guy like khan comes to mind, Jmm was a good call too.
    LL was right up there, future is already showing to be Aj and Spence, both young elite talents that want the best but the best don't want them

    Once a boxer becomes a big name, of course they will get big money for all fights, that's not the issue. But it also means they have the power to duck other top fighters because they can make great money (even if slightly lesser) fighting lesser opponents. Floyd definitely this when he was ducking Pac for 5 years until Pac became old.

    Marquez struggled, but he got robbed by Norwood and John. May and Timmeh are the only boxers that outboxed him.

    Alright alright lol
    I did beat him fair and square. Marquez struggles if you refuse to engage him. I did have enough skill to keep the fight on the outside, and mix a bit on the inside.
