Haye deserves massive credit

Not if you can't hit the target because your speed and reflexes are shot. You can't say Haye can complete because he has a small chance of getting lucky.

 

LOL he deserves credit for a cherry pick gone wrong? Sure thing buddy. I guess if you believe Roy Jones deserves 'credit' for handpicking feather fisted Glen Johnson.

 

Hell no. He doesn't deserve no credit. He's been saying all week how he's going to put Bellew in a hospital and how his family shouldn't watch. Just like he did against Klitschko, and then he flops again come the fight. He should've smoked Bellew like he's nothing.

Plus he ruined my Acca.

 

Haye looked brave. I was surprised. I almost bet on Bellew though. Both guys deserve massive credit.

 

Whatever you think of Haye, Bellew or the outcome of this fight, Haye deserves credit for fighting five rounds on one leg, as any fighter in that position would.

 

He looked as if he had zero respect for Bellew's ability, he went in there literally looking to end him from the opening bell and looked to be trolling him for the first couple of rounds. When he realised he couldn't just turn up and take him out so easily, he upped the gears and looked impressive imo from round 4 to 6.

His jab to the body, switching from body to head, cutting the ring off better and timing improved.
He looked well on his way before his ankle ****ed up.

 

Sorry should not of went that far. **** making excuses for this, if Haye smashed Bellew to bits in 1 round it would still not prove Haye would compete at the top level. This is a massive **** up.

 

Only an idiot like you would think thing that. Most proper fans saw Haye looking like crap. Explain exactly how the guy who was missing wild swings by miles and getting counterd with right hands was a 'level above'

All that hunched over rolling his arms around in circles was a real 'level above'. Tardy.

 

Haye deserves credit for hanging in there long enough for us to witness and enjoy what was no doubt a career ending beating. That I'll give him credit for.

 

thats why i was surprised he took the fight, in a no win situation from the get-go.

if he took out Bellew in a couple of rounds = "proves nothing, still hasn't shown he can last the distance"
if he beat on Bellew and outboxed him for several rounds = "he should have knocked him out in the first round, he can't compete"

Some fighters need to talk nonsense about their opponents in order to boost their own self-confidence. Haye falls into that category. Unfortunately, that sword is double-sided, with one side being sharper than the other. Having said that, at least he gave credit where it was due after his defeat to Bellew.Hopefully Haye's shenanigans have come to an end. It must be a bitter pill to swallow after all the "Bellews not in my league talk".

 

I agree. Still had to smash him to bits in three rounds though, and look great doing it.
