I think it'll happen as both have implied they're fighting for the money. I can't see the outcome being any different though. I had my fun watching the fight. I wouldn't tune in a second time.
What's the use? No titles on the line, first fight shouldn't had happened to begin with, the man who had to win blew it big time and now wants to make more money (I would throw saving face in there but that's not going to happen no matter what Haye does). I don't want to see the 2nd fight but if it happens, there will be 3rd one aswell.
How do we know Haye didn't just set up this elaborate hoax on the fans with Bellew to secure not one but two colossal paydays, Haye looked like a hero by sticking in there with a debilitating injury, and Bellew had another Rocky moment. A Hollywood screenwriter couldn't have scripted it any better. And no Haye IS NOT above that.
No. Bellew wants no part of a shot, non-injured Haye. That was one of the worst winning performances in boxing history.
He risked fighting non-injured Haye already, he's probably willing to do it again for the right money. Haye needs to recover first and that will take a while, in the meantime Bellew is probably going to fight some relative big name from anywhere from 175 to HW that brings the money in. Probably Wilder if he's up to it. Win or lose Haye rematch will make sense after that, probably like a year and a half from now as a retirement party for both of them.
Bellew was injured as well moron. The rematch is pointless, we know haye is completely done and there are no meaningful heavyweight fights left for him. Last night showed he'd get destroyed by the likes of Joshua, wilder, parker, Wladmir and even Shannon Briggs. Even domestic level hw's such as chisora and Whyte would drag Haye's corpse across the ring. It would just be another hopkins/Roy Jones freak show if Haye continued to fight credible bodies after last night.
Haye wants it, I think the demons of losing that fight are going to be eating at him, the same for Wladimir when he lost to Fury. Bellew seems like he wants Wilder, and I think that fight will happen. If that fight doesn't happen, then Haye would happen. What happens though if Tony beat Wilder, I suppose then it's Joshua. Bloody hell, One way or the other, Tony is going to get badly hurt in the end. Heavyweight is one division that you don't want to be playing with.
I would want to watch it. But if David comes in at 221 I'll tune out. He's never looked good when he's that heavy it's 210 or bust.
