What ever happened to Devon Alexander? Did he retire. I know he last lost to a club fighter, I wonder if he is ever going to make a comeback?
To me at least, he's had a pretty successful career with multiple titles, quality wins, some losses obviously as well. I wouldn't mind seeing him rebuild with a new trainer and dedication.
Devon Alexander got really messed up after becoming addicted to painkillers after nose surgery . Started after the Maidana fight. Has been to rehab and reckons he is clean now after 4 year battle. Doubt if he ever comes back he will be the same as he has said he would like to fight again . Hope he stays off Twitter as the only headlines he has made in last 2 years was the homophobic tweets he made in 2015 where he pretty much self destructed. Devon what were you thinking ? You can't say those things today !!
The very least he could do for himself is have Haymon book him in some "stepping stone" bouts to make some money. His contender days are over, but he still has a viable name. He could fight some guys at other stables like Crawford, Vargas, Orozco, Broner.... Look at Collazo, he has been resurrected.
