Oh I think he does. Especially Washington but each to their own. Guys like Ruiz and Takam are more accomplished than Washington. Duhaupa is ok but lost badly to Povetkin. Carlos was having a close even fight with Povetkin before Carlos got dropped late in their fight. I do acknowledge Duhaupa was a late replacement in his fight with Povetkin.

Joe has been doing it tough. We can use lowly ranked Washington again as an example and compare him to who Joe is fighting which is his mandatory challenger Hughie Fury. Joe actually deserves a break cos his opposition levels just go up and up!

As soon as Haye injured himself. Bellew went wild with power punches and gassed himself within 30 seconds. Same in the following round. It wasn't until the 8th that Bellew calmed down a little and started boxing for rounds instead of going for the KO.

Charr got KO'ed in the 7th round after being destroyed by Povetkin for most of the fight.

He's sort of known for an iron chin, although to be fair I reckon it's compromised after taking too much damage against Vitali and Povetkin. Still, Briedis got him spectacularly with one big uppercut that turned Charr's lights off, which always speaks well for power.

Yes I'm listing really big punchers but those are the guys with elite level punching ability. In any division maybe 1-3 names can ever really score knockouts at the highest level.

This isn't a knock on someone who can't knock out a fellow champion im just stating a fact, if you think Parker ko's anyone in the top 10 tell me who and I'll tell you my opinion but it seems you agree with me.

I don't think if you can't beat a top 20 guy your a bum, your just not world level. Parker has beaten top 15 guys so he's in the world level category but stylistically Wilder is a bad fight for him so is Aj and Wlad, Ortiz is more his size but he's a got a skill advantage. I wouldn't pick anyone else against Parker except maybe Fury but his inactivity will go against him.

Who has Ruiz fought to suggest his better than Washington?? Mansour and Chambers is a better win than Ruiz's competition , Takam whilst I think would lose to Washington performed decently against Povetkin and Joe so I would give him a higher ranking than Washington.

Jesus Christ late replacement is an understatement, the guy didn't even have his boxing trainers, they pulled him out of the crowd lol. Are we also gunna forget that Povetkin was roided up to gills?? I'm surprised Duhaupas went 5 in those circumstances.

I will agree Parker has been brought along very well, credit to his team for that and if they maintain this high level of opposition he will only get better. This fury fight will be a great learning curve if he doesn't get this fight he needs to fight tall athletic fighters like a washington to prepare him for the likes of Wilder and AJ.

I wouldn't be surprised if Parker out boxed and/or KO'd Wilder. Parker is a big guy and has decent speed, power, skills etc. Wilder isn't the most skilled himself and hasn't got the sturdiest of chins. Wilder does have explosive power though so I wouldn't be surprised if he KO'd Parker either. Good match up

It'd be a fun fight, Wilder ko's him if he wins or Parker outboxes him if he wins. I can't see Parker koing Wilder but who knows stranger things have happened these last few months.

Washington has fought some good names like you mentioned, Id even add Ray Austin and Sherman Williams to Washingtons credit.

Ruiz had a 29 and 0 record before he fought Parker but thats not why Id rate him over Washington, its the boxing ability. Washington doesnt box properly, you can tell he wouldnt have done well in the amateurs (if he does indeed have an amateur background). If Ruiz and Washington fought, ideally it'd make for a good fight stylistically but I honestly think Ruiz would take by knockout.

This is a good discussion. I'll bite, if we exclude Tyson Fury (out of boxing) and Povetkin (doping) the top 10 isn't that great.

On Boxrec, I think Parker has a very good shot at KO'ing:
#6 Charles Martin (he's not really #6, but whatever lol! How is he above Parker on boxrec???!? Anyway I expect he'll quit as soon as he gets into trouble against Parker)
#8 Christian Hammer (is not that good, doesn't have that good a chin, and beating Price doesn't make you top 10 quality)
#9 Dominic Breazeale (yes, he's a tough guy, but Ugonoh probably would have got the KO were it not for his own chin problems)
Maybe #10 Erkan Teper as well, he's a doper and looked terrible last fight.

I realize that none of those are true top 10 HW quality fighters now of course, so I'm essentially agreeing with you.

I just think that KOs are always a possibility in the HW division, even if it's not the likely outcome. Just an honest question, if a top 20 HW with decent power gets a clean, flush hit with his full weight behind it on a top HW with a good chin, does the guy go down or even out? I'd tend to say yes, especially if that HW doesn't see the punch coming.

Wilder and Parker would be interesting, wilder has the power to KO Parker with 1 punch but hasn got great skill compared to Parker who has better hand speed and footwork to open wilders defence and has good power but not on wilder level, if it becomes a shootout wilder wins due to having more power but if Parker uses his hand speed and footwork to keep out of wilders range then I could see Parker winning by points as wilder defence isnt very good hasn't got grear head movement so would be susceptible to constant jabs from Parker. If Parker boxes smart I can see a Parker points win but if it becomes a shootout then wilder by KO

Ruiz is another guy who is not a big puncher he was fed cans to get up to his undefeated record. He is a good combination puncher but aside from fast hands and decent power he has nothing going for him.

Washington is no world beater by any stretch of the imagination but he brings size and a good jab, you've seen with Klitischko and Pulev just how effective that can be in HW division, granted Wlad does it a lot better than Washington.

Washington is an ex football player I doubt he had an amateur background but imo in the HW division that isn't as necessary as the smaller weights where skill really pay the bills.
