I think he means that he didn't have Bellew hurt. Bellew was always going to give away the early rounds to gas Haye out and he was proved right.

Haye won a lot of fans Saturday night, I didn't think he had that in him.

He was barely able to walk from his dressing room to the ring!

I'm not hating on Haye here, but he looked ok the first 4 or 5 rounds regarding the injury.
He just didn't look as sharp as he normally does, probably the inactivity.
I give Bellew plenty of credit here, but a even a 90% Haye blows him away.

From the first bell, Haye looked like a man who had not fought for 5 years, his timing was well off, his bent over stance looked as bad as David Price's leaning back stance and his power had left him.

Even if the injury did not surface, I think Bellew would have still done him and any half decent heavyweight pumps him easy now.

The only thing he cared about was the £4m he earned.

Haye didn't gas, he ruptured his achilles... most people watching thought Haye was improving and starting to find his range as the fight progressed, he shown no signs of gassing.

Haye never gassed mate, it's quite clear he didn't gas. He was pinned on the ropes because he couldn't put any weight on his bad ankle.

Let's not get too carried away with warrior Haye. He kept fighting because he thought he could still tag Bellew, even on one leg. If he'd been in with any of Joshua, Wilder, Wlad, Pov (I.E real badass hw's) he would have went straight back to his dressing room.

I agree but only because those guys would've had the power and tools to get Haye out of there sooner and would've despatched him sooner...

    Haye has always had heart...

The way I saw it, Haye was not gassed before the injury but it didn't take long afterwards for it. On the same score the same goes for Bellew. He recovered a second win better though

Only just watched it sober. After all the talk of Haye gassing Bellew coming into it, it was Haye coming forward in the 11th with Bellew doing very little until the flurry that knocked down Haye.

Bellew absolutely bladdered him from the middle of round 6. He even took a round off to get his second wind before continuing the barrage.

Serious question to people...had Booth been in Haye's corner, would he have let his man take a hiding like that when he clearly couldn't stand properly or defend himself?

McGuigan threw the towel in when Haye was finished off through the ropes so it was a token gesture if anything. Imo for the sake of the fighters health, he shouldn't have let his man take that beating. I know Haye showed the heart of a lion but he could have ended up seriously hurt.

I don't want to slag off McGuigan but I'm not 100% convinced he was in charge of his fighter.
