I don't really mind that their old, Cotto was very competitive with Canelo so he still has something to give. However his attitude of not taking any dangerous fighter unless it's a crazy payday really rubs me wrong. I doubt he will even take this Bradley fight.
Yeah I would have watch Cotto vs Brook because Brook still has ambitions, Cotto vs Marquez/Khan or Bradley is pointless, it will not result in either man going for a title or push us closer to a undisputed champ.
I guess so but im kind of sentimental with these old fighters. I enjoyed tito vs RJJ even though it meant nothing. Pluss Bradley and Cotto is a decent style match up, neither is known to be in stinkers, especially cotto, so we know its not going to turn out like B-hop RJJ 2 or duran leonard 3
Fair enough, I can definitely see your reasoning and can't disagree with you either. I just get annoyed at these type of match ups because both men have more meaningful options, Bradley could fight Garcia or Peterson & Cotto could fight Lara.
Bradley and cotto would lose those fights. Nether is on the level of a roberto duran or an evander holyfield, where they can overcome all the odds after being written off. True greatness is rare these days
Now that would be funny. Bradley is not a big puncher and it will be a boxing match of pure skill. Cotto has no threat of really being hurt fighting Bradley , so if he ducks him then who?
I think Bradley could beat Peterson but he may need a warm up fight, Cotto would lose to Lara but if he was competitive against Canelo so he would be competitive with Lara. On the matter of beating the odds I got two words for you: Tony Bellew
I would watch this but would prefer Bradley fought a name at 147 and Cotto went ahead with the plan to retire Marquez
I mean, it's a boxing match so I'm gonna watch it regardless, but no I'm not clamoring for this fight at all. Cotto is on a retirement tour and Bradley has aged very badly in the ring. Time to put both out to pasture.
I'd love this fight, but I wouldn't buy it unless it had a great undercard. I can't think of any Cotto fight I would pay for at this stage.
