    King having the WBC in his pocket is not news. Maskaev had the WBC HW belt and Sam Peter was the mandatory challenger. Vitali excercised his emeritus status and had a deal with Maskeav to settle an old score. He was supposed to get a direct shot, yet DK exercised his influence and the WBC allowed Peter to fight first. DK set the fight in Mexico of all places, and Peter got gifted the belt by winning with illegal rabbit punches. DK/Peter wouldn't even accept step aside money (dumb move in retrospect, considering Peter got his **** kicked in by Vitali after).

    DK has always relied on shady practices to get ahead.

    WBC will go to bed with anybody if they pay the fees. These organizations are a joke. They've all been swayed by all promoters at some point. Arum, King, Haymon .... all have pull because it's the cheddar that ultimately matters.
