    Which of the two
    He could only fight one
Lara never being KOd or legitimately defeated

Jacobs being a legit middleweight with power but shaky whiskers

I chose Jacobs because I give Jacobs a much better chance to check ggg's chin being a natural middleweight.
I give Lara no chance whatsoever.
Both ending in KO for GGG.
Jacobs has a suspect chin. GGG have all 12 rounds to check that china.
Lara supposedly has a sublime skill but I don't see that. He won't be able to get GGG off. He leads with his right hip in front being a southpaw. GGG will crack that ribs. It will be brutal.

Lara showed what level he was at when he failed to do a fraction of what the much smaller Mayweather was able to do despite having the blueprint laid out before him. Not that interested in seeing Lara face GGG. A Jacob fight would is much more entertaining and present more opportunities to push Golovkin. And I expect Jacobs to push Golovkin in this fight,

You know all GGG fights are entertaining so I pick Lara

He should move to 160 by the end of the year. why does he stay at junior middle ?

Jacobs for sure because he is bigger than GGG and a huge puncher. Lara v GGG would be similar to Monroe fight. Lara has no chance with GGG, but Jacobs has a punchers chance.

    This^

Lara is no threat whatsoever to Golovkin. He's a smaller, weaker Monroe who can run more. He has NOTHING to threaten Gena with. Golovkin will use him for target practice and destroy his body. Plus he's as boring as a week old sun-baked turd.

Jacobs is a very powerful dude with fast hands who I say has a legitimate chance against Golovkin. He has a good resume and is on a KO tear. He likes to engage and destroy his opponents.

There should be no question as to who is the better fight.

Easy, Lara. Even if Golovkin is a clear favorite, Lara is an elite fighter who despite a negative style is extremely effective and proven against all styles. He was the favorite to win Gold in beijing.

Lara weighs between 165-170 fight night making him slightly smaller than the supposed "small MW" who weighs 172-175 on FN.

What does Jacobs offer other than a punchers chance and the likelyhood of that chinned being cracked for the third time.

I fully expect Golovkin to perform better than Pirog who KTFO Jacobs.

I can understand a GGGoon prefering GGG to fight the sure KO, but a true Golovkin and boxing fan would prefer to see this untested fighter against a new type of opponent.

    Jacobs.

Better chance of an upset, more entertaining fight, more capable of keeping GGG off of him.

    Very sad post.

Bigger and huge puncher, like Murray, like Lemieux, like Stephens, like Rubio.. YAWN...

I'm not saying Lara beats Golovkin, that's another debate all together, I'm saying let's watch Golovkin against a different type of opponent other than the big punching china chinned B level fighter. Seriously.

Lara has a better chance of winning, but it would be like the Canelo fight, which I thought Canelo did win. I appreciate technical fighters but Floyd is about the most defensive style I can tolerate. Jacobs will make it more interesting. I do not think Jacobs has much chance but he will fight.

Lara doesn't stand a chance against Golovkin. He has a clear problem against punchers with decent knowledge about cutting off the ring, and it wouldn't take long before he gets caught and crumbles while desperately trying to avoid the fight.
Jacobs will at least have a chance based on his punching power.

I do want to see Golovkin vs Lara though, after GGG unified as maybe a farewell fight for the division. Just to shut up the haters, and see if Lara will be labelled a 'bum' after.

Jacobs, for a few reasons. Lara is a better fighter (though I don't know how well he'd transition going up a weight) but I don't rate him as elite. Very good but not elite. It's a styles thing for me. I don't think Lara's style is the one to beat Golovkin and he certainly doesn't have that puncher's chance. Monroe (he isn't on Lara's level but there are similarities in style) has his bets moments when he was trading with Golovkin; on the back foot he was picked off, pressured and put down. Plus Lara is quite often open to a left hook to the body.

I think he stops both guys reasonably easily. Jacobs does have legit power at 160 which I can't say for Lara. If I thought Lara would last the distance then I'd pick him over Jacobs, plus ya know I wouldn't want my Kazahk lover be accused of picking on smaller guys.

    Both worthy opponents either way

lara is a 154 iber with no power wilie Monroe is even better then him he is bigger plus his skilful he only looked bad against Golovkin

Jacobs is bigger stronger a much much harder fight then a 154 ib lara lol with his frail body

Jacobs. He has the puncher's chance that Lara does not and I think will make for a better fight no matter what happens. I can appreciate what the purists see in Lara but watching him run around the ring taking the odd potshot against Golovkin in between getting on his bike and trying to survive doesn't sound like my idea of compelling viewing.
